Map and Driving Directions
DRIVING DIRECTIONS It is recommended that you consider renting a car while in Grand Cayman. Driving is on the left hand side of the road so you should request a vehicle with right side steering for maximum convenience. Both the quality of the roads and the driving are excellent. Don’t expect to see all the street names indicated on the map. WEST END ACTIVITIES: Safehaven Dock/‘Stingray Landing’ - See next page for detailed driving map. Dive Shops on Seven Mile Beach (Marriott, Beach Suites, Westin and Courtyard by Marriott) The Red Sail Sports dive shops are located at these hotels directly on West Bay Road - beach side. EAST END ACTIVITIES: Tortuga Divers at Morritt’s (Directions from the airport) After exiting the airport on Owen Roberts Drive after about half a mile following the runway you will make a left at the T-junction. Follow this road as it curves around taking you parallel to the airport runway. As you approach the next junction be in the left most lane, then bear left and circle around the bottom of the runway. Bear left again and merge into traffic on Crewe Road. You will then be heading east and away from the hustle and bustle of George Town. Stay to the left again at the roundabout, followed shortly by the Grand Harbour roundabout. At the Grand Harbour roundabout take the second exit and get into the right lane. This will take you onto the new east-west arterial. You will approach another roundabout that you will take the second exit from. Then you will approach another roundabout that you will take the 3rd exit from. You will then be on the road that will take you all the way to the resort. Relax and enjoy the scenery. You will head through Savannah, and then the coastal communities of Bodden Town and Breakers. It is recommended that you follow the road along the south coast and continue through East End and a few other small hamlets. The approximate distance to the resort will be 25 miles and your travel time will be a leisurely 45 minutes. You will find Morritt’s Tortuga Club after Gun Bay on the right hand side of the road. The buildings are salmon coloured. The main entrance is next to Le Mer Spa at the resort. Rum Point Dock (Directions from Morritt’s Tortuga Club) Turn right out of Morritt’s Tortuga Club onto Queen Elizabeth Highway, which turns into Old Robin Road. Keep going until you come to the stop sign at Old Man Bay. Turn right onto North Side Road, which turns into Rum Point Drive. For trips departing from Rum Point, you will pull into the Rum Point car park and check-in at the dive shop which is located on the beach. (Total travel time to Rum Point from Morritt’s is 25 minutes.)
