Timing is everything! When choosing a new lawnmower, whether walk-behind or ride-on, it
is important to consider the following:

Time spent mowing - our machines are now classified by the area they can be expected to
mow in one hour.
l Lawn size
l Cutting type - mulch, side discharge, rear discharge or collect. Emptying the grass bag adds
time to lawn mowing with a collector while leaving the lawn clear of cuttings. Mulching
recycles cuttings back into the grass, but the lawn needs mowing more frequently.

TYPE OF LANDSCAPE
For hilly, sloping or uneven ground you should choose a self propelled lawn mower with larger
wheels. Alternatively, for a lawn tractor choose a product with a powerful engine. Our suspended cutting deck is also excellent for larger and uneven lawn areas as it can easily adapt
to the ground conditions.
HARD TO REACH PLACES
Large rear wheels and caster front wheels will improve manoeuvrability with lawn mowers.
Cub Cadet offers lawn tractors with a 40 and 46cm turning radius and also a zero-turn ride-on
for areas where movement is limited.

CHOOSING
YOUR
CUB CADET
Bagging / Mulching / Discharge
There are different ways of disposing of cuttings: mulching, bagging and discharge. Some of the
Cub Cadet lawn mowers offer all three functions simultaneously; other mowers can be converted
with appropriate attachments. You can recognise these by our logos:
2-in-1 means that you have two functions in one mower: mulching and discharge.
3-in-1 means that the mower can as well mulch as rear-discharge and bag the
clippings. You have three functions in one mower.
3-in-1 option means that you have the choice between bagging and discharge.
Optionally you can buy an additional mulch kit which is available as accessory.
With this accessory you have 3 functions in one mower, without the mulch kit you
have only two functions.
Bagging:
Collecting is recommended
for those who don´t have the
time to mow very often and
want to have a clean looking
well-groomed garden as well.
Besides that, collecting has
the advantage to take debris
such as leaves and dead
grass out and make room for
light and water. In return, the
garden needs a good amount
of water for a healthy appearance and the grass needs
to be disposed into a composter, a garden waste bin
or just an invisible area.
When collecting the clippings,
the resistance on the cutting blade is less than when
mulching because grass is cut
once and directly transported
into the bag. Therefore energy
consumption is in favour of
collecting.
Bagging:
Mulching:
Mulching is recommended for
well-groomed gardens and for
people who have the ability
to mow at least twice a week
during high season.
When mulching, the grass
swirls around the cutting
deck and is thus being cut
several times until particles
are so small that they will
fall through the blades
onto the ground. As grass
consists almost 90% of water,
it is recycled back into the soil
and not lost. It can be used as
a natural green fertilizer. The
smaller the particles are, the
better groomed the garden
looks and less debris lies on
top of the grass.
For best results do not attempt
to cut grass by more than 1 2 cm. The secret to mulching
is little and often. Energy
consumption will raise dramatically with length of grass
as the resistance gets higher
with extra grass volume.

Discharge:
When discharging the clippings,
the grass is usually released through an opening on the side
or rear of the cutting deck and
spread back onto the lawn.
This type of lawn care is usually recommended for more
natural meadows that don´t
need cutting as frequently as
well-groomed gardens and
that grow higher. Usually,
these conditions do not persist around the house as the
grass debris will end up in the
house, pool or walkways.
The resistance on the blade is
almost identical to collecting but
backpressure from a collector
is absent, so discharging is the
most energy efficient method to
mow.

The Transmatic transmission allows shift-on-the-go speed control. Simply choose the
driving direction, release the brake, then select the basic speed with the speed shift lever
on the dashboard and start mowing. Slowing down or speeding up is controlled by the foot
pedal for smooth, gearless, continuously variable speed control.
TRANSMISSION
The AutoDrive transmission is maintenance free. It can be compared with the automatic
transmission of a car: The speed can simply be adjusted with the foot pedal. With the gear
selector lever you simply choose forward or reverse direction. You don’t have to bother with
clutching. Both hands remain on the steering wheel.

TRANSMISSION
The Hydrostatic transmission impresses by means of modern technology. Because of its
self-lubricating hydro pump, it has low maintenance and is extremely sturdy. The particular
feature of a Hydrostatic transmission is that you can control the forward and reverse
speed continuously. No clutching or gear shifting is required. It offers a very smooth
and precise drive. The 1000 Series lawn tractors are foot-pedal controlled, the 700 Series
lawn tractors have either hand control (side discharge) or a foot pedal (rear discharge).

USER FRIENDLY INNOVATION
If you want to save time, it’s time to get a RZT Zero-turn Rider. The RZT50 features a powerful Kawasaki OHV twin
engine and 127cm cutting deck. Its generous cutting width and triple blades cut grass faster, giving you more time to
relax and enjoy your garden.
Driving forward:
Slowly and evenly move both drive control levers forward. The mower will start to
move forward. As the control levers are
pushed further forward, the speed of the
mower will increase. To slow the tractor
move the control levers rearward to attain
the desired speed or move the levers to the
neutral position to stop the mower.
Turning to the left:
Turning to the right:
To turn to the left, move the left drive control lever rearward of the right
lever.
To turn to the right, move the right
drive control lever rearward of the left
lever. The greater the distance between the two levers, the sharper the
mower will turn.
Driving reverse:
Executing a zero-turn:
To drive the mower in reverse, slowly
and evenly move both drive control
levers rearwards.
To execute a zero-turn, move one
control lever forward while simultaneously moving the other control
lever rearward.

A breakthrough in technology with the revolutionary steering technology of the AllRounder50 provides zero
turn
manoeuvrability unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
The AllRounder combines the manoeuverability and time savings of a zero-turn mower with the comfort and
versatility of a tractor. On traditional zero-turn mowers, only the rear wheels are controlled by pushing and
pulling two levers. With the AllRounder, a steering wheel turns the front wheels and at the same time controls the speed and direction of the back wheels.
True zero-turn is achieved when the operator turns the steering wheel far enough that the inside rear wheel
turns in
reverse just like a traditional zero turn lap-bar controlled machine, the driver can also operate
the unit the same way as a traditional lawn tractor. This AllRounder offers the best of both worlds; true zero
turn without losing the tractor features.

The
Series lawmowers are unique due to their special deck composed of three parts made in aluminium and
zinc coated steel which guarantees durability and performance in terms of collecting and mulching. The rotary motion of
the specially shaped Teflon coated blades generates an air current which speeds grass clippings into the bag. Collection
performance is further enhanced by ‘boosted airflow technology’. An integrated tongue on the grass bag supports this
function. Cub Cadet
Series lawnmowers are available with cutting widths from 46 to 53cm. All models are
equipped with variable speed control allowing mowing speed to be adjusted to your walking pace.
Cub Cadet LV handle system
The innovative Cub Cadet LV low vibration handle contains a gel of
polymers and synthetic hydrocarbons which drastically reduces vibrations on the lawnmower’s handle.

My Speed Drive System
The drive system engages once the handle is pushed forward.
If the operator walks faster, the handle is automatically pushed
further forward and thus the speed of the mower increases. If
the operator walks slower, the handle is pivoting back and the
unit slows down. If the operator stops walking, the lever automatically moves to neutral and the unit stands still.

The mower speed automatically adjusts to the desired walking
speed of the operator.
Tipp: Do not pivot the handle forward to engage the drive
system. Just grab the handle and start to walk. The handle will
then automatically pivot forward and the mower starts to move
forward.

Durable steel blades
The intuitive menu system on the LC display makes it easy to enter the mowing
program, while the area to be mown can
be quickly defined in just a few steps. Simply lay the boundary wire around the area
to be mown and secure it in the ground
with the included solid plastic pegs. You
can exclude obstacles like bushes or
ponds, while hard objects like trees are
automatically detected and avoided.
All Lawnkeepers come with blades which
will last for up to a whole season. The
strong blades in combination with the
continuously variable cutting height enable the mower to cut high grass and manage the first cut of the season. No need to
use a conventional mower.

The housing of the mower and the blades
have to be cleaned more often if the grass
is mown in the rain. To avoid this, there is
a rain sensor which prevents the mower
from starting or let it stop mowing and return to the base station when it‘s raining.
The sensitivity of the sensor to moisture
can be set using the menu.
The Lawnkeeper comes with a battery
maintenance kit. Connected to this system, it can spend the winter safely in your
garage or tool-shed while the trickle charge keeps the battery healthy.

With the free App you have full control of
your Lawnkeeper. Get information about
the current status, change the settings
or even navigate your Lawnkeeper into
hard to reach corners with the remote
control function. Not available for the Lawnkeeper 3000.
The Lawnkeeper’s mulching system cuts
the grass into tiny particles at up to 4.000
rpm. This also “irrigates” the lawn,
because grass consists of 90 % water.
No need to compost or dispose of the
clippings. Mulching is a natural fertilizer
however it cannot provide all nutrients.
Please ask your local dealer for special
fertilizer for robotic mowers.
Changing the blades
is so easy
The blade can be replaced on all Lawnkeeper models. A blade removal tool is
included which is easy to use.
To recharge the battery, the Lawnkeeper
has to return to the charging station. It
uses the boundary wire as a guide and
follows it back to the charging station, but
always on a slightly different route. This
means that it does not leave tracks in the
lawn.

spade. Powerful and reliable, the tiller tackles any job - it loosens the soil, removes weeds and prepares the soil for

A 2 metre long hose with long grip and nozzle will
clean areas which are hard to reach. Simply flip
the switch on the vac front nozzle to change from
nozzle to hose function to clean under bushes

Internal shredder blades reduce the volume of leaves and small twigs in a ratio of up to 8:1. After
vacuuming and shredding the material is automatically transferred into the felt collection bag.
