For more than six decades, CLEPCO has meant innovation and leadership in the
design and manufacture of quality immersion heaters and controls. Since our
inception in 1947 to the first patent issued to CLEPCO in 1954, to our SMART
HEATER®, SEESAW™ switch, and QUICKPLUG™ systems, CLEPCO has introduced

We welcome all custom heating system requirements whether it be a simple
immersion heater or a series of heaters and computer compatible control system
necessary to function as a complete factory heating system. Rest assured, we
will provide engineering support every step of the way.
HELPFUL TIPS
1) Keep your heaters clean for longevity and prime performance. FLUOROPOLYMER (PTFE) and QUARTZ HEATERS use
plastic scrub brush and rinse with water only. METAL HEATERS use an abrasive scouring pad, metal wire brush, or
scraper. Do not hit your heater this will cause damage. Allowing scale to build up on your heater will cause heater failure.
2) Allow ample time for your heater to cool down before removing it from your liquid solution. Removing the heater too
soon will damage your fuse.
3) Always keep your liquid solution two inches above your heater’s hot zone. Allowing your solution to drop below this point
will damage your fuse.

VOLTAGES AVAILABLE (MOST HEATERS AND CONTROLS)
Voltages are designated in Intelligent Heater model numbers as follows:
120 volt = 1
220 volt = 0
208 volt = 8
220 volt = 9
240 volt = 2
380 volt = 3
400 volt = 7
415 volt = 5
480 volt = 4
600 volt = 6
Specify Single or Three Phase when ordering. Consult factory for
other voltages.

W-3222-A = Mild Steel - 3KW 240V 22” Overall Length - A Fuse
WS-4429-AH = 304SS - 4KW 480V 29” Overall Length - AH Fuse
TY-10359-E = TITANIUM - 10KW 380V 59” Overall Length - E Fuse
THERMAL PROTECTION SYSTEMS
METAL BAYONET & L-STYLE HEATERS
Option A Thermal Fuse: Replaceable One Time Thermal Fuse for
temperatures under 190°F.
CHANGING TO CUSTOM LENGTH:
Fuse: Has Two Red Lead Wires.
Change the Last Two Numbers (WS-3222-A) to the desired overall
heater length.
Standard: On all Metal, Quartz Bayonet and L-Type heaters.
NOTE: Only the cold zone portion of the heater can change in length.
Example: Heater Model: WS-2217-A
Order Instructions: Specify -A After Your Model Number.
Example: Heater Modals WS-3222-A is 22” in length.
WS-3244-A is 44” in length. WS-3220-A is 20” in length.
Option AH Thermal Fuse: Replaceable One Time Thermal Fuse for
Temperatures under 329°F.
No additional charge for shorter than standard lengths.
Fuse: Has Two White Lead Wires.
Pricing For Single Tube Mild Steel and Stainless Steel: Add: $3 Per
each additional inch to the base price of Mild Steel, 304 Stainless
Steel and 316L Stainless Steel.
Example: Heater Model WS-2117-AH
Order Instructions: Specify -AH After Your Model Number. Option E
Resettable Thermal Fuse: Use with controls that have manual reset
function. Under 200°F. Fuse: Has Two Blue Lead Wires.
Example: Heater Model WS-2117-E
Order Instructions: Specify -E After Your Model Number.

Consult factory on length limitations.
Pricing For Single Tube Titanium Heaters: Add: $6 Per each additional
inch to the base price of Titanium.
Pricing For Triple Tube Bayonet Heaters: Add: $9 Per each additional inch
to the base price of Mild Steel, 304 Stainless Steel And 316L Stainless
Steel.
Add: $18 Per each additional inch to base price of Titanium Heaters
up to 12” over standard length. Over 12” Triple Bayonet will use deep
tank style heaters.
Consult factory for pricing on deep tank specific models.
SLUDGE FEET:
Optional ”2 – 8” Sludge Feet for L-Type Heaters are Available. Add
SL2-SL to the model number.
Standard: 1.25” Sludge Feet Height
Example: Heater Model WSL-2217-A-R25-SL4
Pricing: $35 up to 8 inches.
L-Style Heaters Riser Lengths:
L-Style heaters are recommended if Liquid Level Fluctuates. To
order different Riser Lengths.
Add: the letter “R” followed by your total Riser Height to the End of
the selected Heater Model.
Example: Heater Model WSL4224-A-R30 has a 30” riser.
GOOSENECK RISER:
Optional Gooseneck Riser Available. Top Portion of Riser and Heater
Head is Welded at a 90° angle. Add the letters GN6 after the selected
L- Type heater model.
Pricing: Add $3 Per each additional Inch of the Riser Height for Mild
Steel, 304 Stainless Steel and 316L Stainless Steel.
Pricing: Add $6 Per each additional Inch of the Riser Height for Titanium.
Standard: 6” Length
Conduit:
Example: Heater Model WSL2217-A-R25-GN6
X=BX Conduit: Gray Corrosion resistant, PVC flexible tubing that
protects the wires of the heater.
Pricing: $25Steel - $40 Titanium Charge Up To 6” $35 / $50 over 6”
PLASTISOL DIPPED HEATER HEADS:
Plastisol helps Prevent Moisture from Entering Heater Head. Plastisol is
a Green Covering Over the heater head.
Ordering Instructions: Add the letter “R” to the beginning of the
model number of the heater.
Standard: 36 inches. is standard on all Inline, Bayonet, L-Style, and
Quartz Heaters.
Ordering Instructions: Additional BX Conduit Length is available on
all Clepco Heater Models. Add the Letter X and the total amount of
conduit desired in Inches.
Example: WS-2117-A-X72
Example: Heater Model RWS-2217-A Pricing: Single Bayonet $20,
Single L-type $40.
Pricing: $4 Per Foot over the standard 36 inches.
METAL HEATER HEAD:
Crating Charges will apply on shipments that require crating.
Optional Heavy Duty Welded Metal Heater Head. Add the letter ‘’M”
after the heater model number. Single tube may be square or round.
Example: Heater Model WS-2217-A-M.

This chart provides an easy reference
to estimate the KW required to heat
a tank. Heat losses from the surface
of the solution and from the sides
of the tank have been taken into
account. Find the gallons at the left,
move to the right of the column with
the temperature at which you will
be heating the solution. The number
indicated here is the KW required
to do the heating job. The KW figure
assumes a heat-up period of six
hours; for a twelve hour heat-up
time simply divide the KW figure in
half.

(Multiply the inside dimensions of the tank - depth x width x length.)
2. Total gallons of solution.
(Multiply by 7.48 the cubic feet of the tank occupied by the solution. If the solution is
normally 6” below the top of the tank, allow this when figuring)
3. Average ambient (room) temperature at which the tank will be used.
4. Temperature level at which solution is to be held.

WARRANTY INFORMATION & STANDARD CONDITION OF SALE
IGNITION SOURCE
DELIVERY
Always use a low liquid level safety device! Electric immersion
heaters may ignite plastic tanks (such as poly-propylene and
polyethylene).
Delivery of goods to a common carrier shall constitue delivery to
the purchaser and all the risk of loss or damage in transit shall be
borne by the purchaser. Unless otherwise specifically provided,
delivery of te apparatus hereunder shall be made F.O.B point of
shipment. Shipping dates are approximate - and are based upon
prompt receipt of all necessary information. Company reserves the
right to make delivery in installments unless otherwise expressly
staed. All such installments shall be separately invoiced and paid for
when due without regard to subsequent deliveries. Delay in delivery
of any installment shall not relieve the purchaser of its obligation
to accpet remaining deliveries. The Company shall not be liable for
delya due to causes beyond its reasonable control, such as acts of
God, acts of the Purchaser, act of civil or military authority, priorities,
fires, strikes, lockouts, floods, epidemics, quarantine restriction, war,
riot, delays in transporation, car shortages and the inability due to
causes beyong its reasonable control to obtain necessary labor,
materials, or manufacturing facilities. In the event of any such delay,
the date of delivery shall be extended for a period equal to the time
lost by the reason of the delay.
SHOCK HAZARD
Beware of shock hazard! If an electric immersion heater is not
properly installed it could pose a shock hazard to personnel.
WARRANTY
All CLEPCO equipment manufactured and sold by Intelligent Heater,
LLC has been carefully inspected before shipping and subject to
stringent quality control. CLEPCO products are warranted against
defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from
date of shipment and are applied on a pro rate basis. As its option
CLEPCO will repair or replace defective equipment. Intelligent
Heater, LLC disclaims responsibility for failure arising from misuse,
improper installation, negligence, tampering or other operating
conditions beyond its control. Intelligent Heater, LLC is NOT liable
for labor cost arising from removal, re-installation or unauthorized
repair of the product or for damage of any type including incidental
or consequential damage. The user is responsible for overall safety
and operation of the equipment. We highly recommend the use of
low liquid level protection systems and liquid level controls when
the use of heaters is involved. The suitability of products to specific
application is the final responsibility of the user.
DAMAGES
Upon receipt of merchandise inspect immediately for damages.
Notify carrier promptly if equipment is damaged and keep all
packaging for inspections. Do not reship back to Intelligent Heater,
LLC claims against carrier for damages in transit must be filed by
the buyer.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Intelligent Heater, LLC reserves the right to determine customer’s
financial responsibility in case of order change or cancellation. A
determination will be made by Intelligent Heater, LLC based on point
of production.
CREDIT
Credit will be issued only after receipt and examination of return
merchandise. Replacement merchandise will be sent out and
invoice as a new order. Any credits due will be issued against the old
invoice.
RETURNS
No products shall be returned to Intelligent Heater, LLC without
first obtaining return authorization from the factory or one of its
representatives. All returns must be freight prepaid. Frieght collect
or shipment without proper authorization will be refused. All returns
must be clearly marked on the outside of th carton with RMA number. Also include the invoice number covering the original purchase,
model number if the equipment being returned as well as any
instructions where applicable. All return items must be thoroughly
cleaned and free of any chemicals. A material safety data sheet for
the chemicals must accompany the heaters or they will be refused.
PAYMENTS
If in the judgement of the Company, the finincial condition of the
Purchaser at any time does not justify continuance of production
or shipment on the terms of payment specified, the Company may
require full or partial payment in advance. Pro rata payments shall
become due as shipments are made. If the shipments are delayed
by the Purchaser payments shall become due from date when the
Company is prepared to make shipment. If manufacturer is delayed
by the Purchaser, payment shall be made based on the contract
price and the percentage of completion. Apparatus held for the
Purchaser shall be at the risk and expense of the Purchaser.
GENERAL
Any controversy, dispute or claim arsing out of or related to this
contract or breech thereof shall be settled by arbitration held the
Homestead, Florida in accordance with the rules of the American
Arbitration Association, and judgment may be entered upon any
award in the Court of Comoon Pleas and Miami-Dade County,
Florida or in any other court in any state having jurisdiction. Any of
the terms and provisions of the Purchaser’s order which are in any
way inconsistent with these Standard Conditions of Sale or which
are not expressly contained in this acknowledgement shall not be
binding on the Company and shall not be considered applicable to
this sale. In no event shall any claim for the consequential damages
are made by either party. The Company will comply with all applicable
Federal, State and local laws. No waiver, cancellation recession,
alteration or modification of any of the provisions on the face or
reverse hereof shall be binding unless in writing and signed by an
executive officer of the Company or by the General Sales Manager
of the Company.
