why put nitrogen in my motorcycle`s tires? - Flo
NITROGEN: GOOD FOR
YOU AND YOUR TIRES
Experts agree that maintaining tire pressure helps
save fuel, reduce tire wear and keep you safe.
Underinflated tires reduce traction, increase tire
wear and the risk of catastrophic failure.
WHY PUT NITROGEN IN MY
MOTORCYCLE’S TIRES?
Nitrogen’s molecules are larger and do not escape
as fast as air... slower leak rate.
Nitrogen is less sensitive to temperature changes
and therefore maintains tire pressure better than
air in all temperatures.
Nitrogen does not “oxidize” tires from the inside
like air can.

HOW WILL MY TIRES BE
CHANGED FROM AIR TO NITROGEN?
First, the air will be completely removed from your tires.
Then your shop will use a “Nitrogen Generator” to fill your
tires with 96% pure Nitrogen. Green valve caps will be
installed to indicate the change to Nitrogen.
CAN I ADD AIR TO A TIRE WITH NITROGEN?
Yes, but you may lose the benefit of using Nitrogen. We
suggest that you top off with Nitrogen. Ask your service
provider about their top-off policy.
