Outings/events with food must also confirm the number of guests that will be eating. A starting sheet, listing the names of all players, must be submitted to the Director of Golf forty-eight (48) hours prior to the Commitment Date. In addition to guaranteeing the number of participants, this list will be used for pairings, cart assignments, name boards, score sheets, etc. Confirmation of Date Confirmation will occur upon (i) receipt of a fully completed application with the deposit, and (ii) written approval from the Director of Golf. Starting Times Monday Only ‑A Shotgun start is available for a minimum guaranteed count of 60 players. Groups smaller than 60 players may be grouped with another outing. Tuesday through Friday ‑ Morning shotgun starts are permitted. Please call our Director of Golf for availability of dates. ~ HELPFUL HINTS ~ Our staff has compiled the following suggestions to help ensure the success of your outing. Outing Identification There are three basic types of golf outings: 1)Corporate/Client 2)Corporate/Employee Incentive 3)Charity Clearly identifying the outing type will guide our staff's recommendations on how to make your event successful. Registration The registration area is one of the most critical components of any golf outing. It sets the tone for the entire day. The registration table should be set-up in a highly visible location, and should be manned two hours prior to the scheduled time for the beginning of play. Ensure that adequate personnel will be available to maintain a smooth flow of traffic, keeping the registration area uncongested. Pace of Play Maintaining an adequate pace of play is an important aspect in ensuring a successful golf outing. Slow play is annoying to other golfers and can disrupt the timetable for other planned activities. A quality round of golf should never exceed four hours. One of the best ways to speed up play is to choose a scramble-scoring format for a large group. In the scramble format, each team consists of two to four players. On every hole, each team member drives and the best drive is selected by the team Captain. Each team member then plays a second shot from the spot where the selected drive lays, and the best second shot is selected. This process is repeated until the hole is completed. This is the most popular, and our recommended, format. The pace of play can be managed by correctly pairing the members of your group by playing ability, and/or by choosing a format of play that produces timely rounds. Our staff will also take appropriate measures to guarantee that play progresses at a suitable pace. Course rangers will monitor play throughout the day. Progress updates will be provided to appropriate members of our staff to facilitate a smooth flow leading from the conclusion of play to the start of your banquet (or other outing events). ~ HELPFUL HINTS ~ continued Shotgun vs. Tee Times Listed below are two standard formats for golf outings. 1) Shotgun Starts A) Shotgun starts permit all group participants to start and finish at the same time. This allows the group to remain together for other events (e.g., the entire group arrives at the banquet at one time). Shotgun starts can be scheduled for either the early morning or the early afternoon. B) Speeds up play. C) Minimum group size of 60 required. D) Starting time typically limited to 8:00 -9:00 a.m. and 12:00—1:00 p.m. 2) Tee Time Starts A) Allows for a variety of starting times to suit golfers needs. B) Can maximize outing capacity. C) Flexibility allowed for guarantees on group size. D) Time separation between first and last group E) Challenging to keep a captive audience for banquet participation F) Slower speed of play Contests Contests can be an enjoyable source of entertainment and provide numerous sponsorship opportunities. They can also generate additional revenue for charity events. However, don't overload your event with too many contests since too many contests slow down play. Here are some suggested contests: 1) Long Drive 2) Closest to the Pin 3) Mulligan Sales 4) Putting Contest 5) Nearest to the Line or Straightest Drive 6) Hit the Target 7) Beat the Pro Our Staff is happy to assist you in holding these contests! ~ OUTING & EVENT MENU OPTIONS ~ Continental Breakfast……………………………………………………………………………...……………..$7.00++ Sausage Biscuits, Juice & Coffee The Deluxe Continental Breakfast……………………………………………………………………...……..$8.00++ Assorted Danish, Muffins, Bagels, Sweet Bread, Juice & Coffee Boxed Lunch~………………………………………………………………………………………………….………..$10.95++ Turkey Sandwich w/lettuce, tomato, Cheese, Apple, Cookies & condiments, Chips Grilled Lunch…………………………………………………………………………………………….……………...$14.00++ Char-Grilled Hamburgers, Chicken Breasts, & Hotdogs, Pasta Salad, Chips, Cookies and Iced Tea After-Play Light Hors d’oeuvres………………………………………………………………………………...$7.00++ Assortment of House-made Chips and Dip, Pretzels, Chips and Salsa After-Play Deluxe Hors d’oeuvres………………………………………………………………………… …$14.00++ Buffalo Wings with celery and Blue Cheese, Meatballs in Marinara, House-made Chips and Dip, Chips and Salsa Grilled Dinner………………………………………………………………………………………………………….$17.00++ Char-Grilled Hamburgers, Chicken Breasts, & Hotdogs Potato Salad or Pasta Salad, Baked Beans, Chips, Fresh Baked Cookies or Brownies, and Iced Tea Chef's Selection Awards Buffet…………………………………………………………………………………$24.95 ++ Light Hors d’oeuvres, Salad, Assorted Vegetables, Potatoes, Pasta, or Rice Two Entree selections Rolls & Butter, Dessert Buffet , Iced Tea & Coffee Soft Drinks ~ $2.25++ Powerade/Bottled Water ~ $2.50++ Domestic Beer ~ $3.25++ Premium Beer ~ $4.00++ Premium ~ $7.50++ Additional items are available upon request to customize and complement your event!
