Sharefest Summer College Internship Program
JOB SUMMARY
The goal of the Summer Intern is to provide administrative, youth development and research support
for the Program Directors and Program Administrator. The Summer Intern will work (at least 4 weeks or
a total of 80 hours) with the Sharefest staff to implement meaningful Sharefest programs and services.
Through this internship, the intern will receive letters of recommendation that recognize their service,
meals during the Summer Youth Academy and invitations to Sharefest sponsored events.

Ability to communicate effectively;

Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
Ability to problem solve and come up with creative solutions to challenges;
Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard proprietary program; information;
Ability to pass a criminal background check that meets Sharefest and outside agency standards;
Ability to submit weekly hours and project reports electronically and in a timely fashion.
Follows the prescribed YDA dress code to maintain a professional image to the public and
residents.
Performs additional duties, as assigned.
Documents program and project highlights by producing a weekly blog that includes a 500-word
summary and 20 photographs.

c) Physical Demands and Working Conditions
i) Must be able to work in a “labor –intensive” environment, both indoors and outdoors.
ii) Must be able to work at a desk/office for extended periods of time.
