No on-deck registration shall be permitted. Coaches must display current credentials. Entry Deadlines: Entry acceptance period begins at noon on Monday, November 7, 2011. Early entries will not be accepted! Team Manager event file will be available on CAT website www.corvallisaquaticteam.org by October 17, 2011. Final entry deadline is 5:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2011. Event/Meet Limit: 3 events per day (inclusive of time trials, exclusive of relays). Entries may be cut off subject to Meet Director/Meet Referee decision. Teams will be entered on a first come first served basis. Entry Fees: $8.00 surcharge per swimmer ($3.00 – OSI swimmer surcharge, $5.00 – Osborn Aquatic Center usage fee) $2.00 per individual event, $8.00 per relay Entry fees must be received before the start of the meet. Swimmers must meet time standards. Nonsubstantiated times or substandard times may be scratched without notification or refund.Send entries on a disk using Hy-Tek Format OR via email. All entries must be followed up with confirming entry reports, either hard-copy or soft-copy via email. Teams with fewer than 5 swimmers may be entered on paper forms (no cards). Check-In and Scratch Rules: Over-swimmer starts will be used. All events will be deck seeded. 1. Individual Scratch Rule – Each swimmer shall inform him/herself of the meet starting time and shall report to the proper meet authorities promptly upon call. A. Preliminary Events 1. Coaches are responsible for providing a positive check-in 1 hour prior to start of the meet Friday and Saturday. For Sunday events, coaches are responsible for positive check-in of swimmers on Saturday prior to the end of prelims. 2. After the heats have been seeded, any swimmer who fails to compete in an individual event in which such swimmer entered and has not been scratched in accordance with sub-paragraph 1. above will be barred from his/her next individual event. S/he will be permitted to participate in relay events of that day. 3. Heat sheets will be published as soon as possible following the positive check-in deadline. B. Finals Events 1. Due to difficulty in filling all finals heats, all swimmers participating in prelims are subject to possible seeding in finals regardless of place. 2. If an athlete does not plan on being available for competing at finals, they must scratch from finals with the clerk of course either during prelims check-in or up to 30 minutes after preliminary results have been announced. 3. Failure to compete at finals will result in removal from the meet. Any ties in prelim heats will be settled by draw. C. Exceptions for failure to compete - No penalty shall apply for failure to withdraw or compete in an individual event if: 1. The Referee is notified in the event of illness or injury and accepts the proof thereof. 2. It is determined by the Referee that failure to compete is caused by circumstances beyond the control of the swimmer. 2. Relay Scratch Rule Any relay team entered in a relay event that fails to compete in or report for that event shall not be penalized. Facility: Competition Pool – Eight lanes, 7-ft, 25-yd lanes, 30-in. tilted blocks. Depth: 6 to 13 ft. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2 C(4). Warm-up Pool: Shallow end east of bulkhead open for continuous warmup/cooldown. Outdoor pool will be available during AM warm-ups. Awards: High Point: Men & Women Top 10. Only those parents who are timing are allowed in the starting area. SWIMMERS AND COACHES ONLY IN THE COMPETITION AREA OF THE POOL. Timing: Daktronics timing system, horn start, and finish touch pads. Results via electronic scoreboard. Names will appear as received in meet entries. Pool Hours: Pool will be open from 7:00 AM until conclusion of the meet. The pool will be open on Sunday at 7:30 AM. Meetings: Officials meeting will be held approximately 60 minutes prior to start of prelims and finals. Coaches meeting 15 minutes prior to start of prelims. If you will be attending please send a confirming e-mail to [email protected]. Uniform is white over blue, long trousers/slacks or skirts for finals. Hospitality will be provided for coaches and officials. Timers: Each team will be given lane-timing assignments. Sign-ups will be available behind the competition area. Concessions: There will be concessions (no grill) available at the meet. There are numerous dining establishments located near the facility. Camping: No OVERNIGHT CAMPING. Multiple parking lots, shared with adjacent school, are available for RVs for day use only. There will be no outside toilet facilities. Camping is available at Benton County Fairgrounds (541) 757-1521, and KOA Campground off Hwy. 34 (541) 967-8521. Safety: No tobacco products, alcohol, or glass containers are allowed in the pool facility. No parents or non-competing children are allowed in the competition area (swimmers, timers, officials and coaches only). Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water. Subject to a large turnout it may be swum mixed sex and limited to a total of 8 heats. Swimmers in the 1650 must provide their own timers and a counter. NOTE: The meet will end at 12:30pm on Sunday. Swimmers will be entered in the 1650 Free on a first-come, first-served basis until the session is filled.
