100 designs in one fitting.
With its product series VITUS, SCHELL has developed a completely new fittings concept. And not just that: VITUS
extends the SCHELL product range by a wall-mounted series for wash basin and shower. The unique thing: Based
on only two basic housings, VITUS offers you the possibility of choosing from among a multitude of designs, the
one which suits your requirements best. Whether, for example, it is used as a wall-mounted draw-off tap or shower
fitting, whether for mixed water or thermostat, whether manual, self-closing or electronic actuation. There are
hardly any limits to your wishes.
We have placed special importance on user and drinking water hygiene. The quality of alloys used exclusively by
SCHELL ensures adherence to the limit values laid down by the “Drinking Water Directive of 2001” (DIN 50930-6)
which was revised in 2011. Drinking water protection is guaranteed by DIN 1988-100 (“Codes of practice for
drinking water installations”) and EN 1717.
Besides a stagnation flush, the individual designs also optionally offer a mechanically activated thermal disinfection.
Other quality criteria speak for VITUS, which received the Plus X Award: robust all-metal design, noise class I and a
manufacturing system according to DIN ISO 9001.

A clean deal.
The hygiene plus from VITUS.
In sanitary rooms cleanliness is of paramount importance.
Particularly, if they are used publicly and the focus is on
drinking water hygiene. Here VITUS can score points.

Maximum user hygiene. VITUS provides you with a number of solutions for
maximum user hygiene. These include the operation by means of an arm
lever, which has proved its worth in the day-to-day business of hospitals.
Additional advantages in terms of hygiene: the easy-to-clean, smooth
chrome surfaces, the lockable S connections beneath the rosette, as well as
retaining nuts which are covered by the rosette.
Thermal disinfection. Legionella bacteria are an important issue, especially in
shower areas of public sanitary rooms. VITUS has the right solution for this,
too: the thermal disinfection. This make it possible to meet the requirements
of the DVGW worksheet W 551 for a thermal disinfection with 70 ° C warm
water for 3 minutes. The drinking water heater and the whole warm water
system, including the outlet valves, can thus be rinsed at more than 70 °C for
at least 3 minutes. For this, SCHELL also provides VITUS fittings with a preassembled valve for thermal disinfection. If required, it also can be retrofitted
at any time.
Proper use thanks to stagnation flush. To provide hygienic, faultless drinking
water, an extended water flow stagnation must be avoided in the pipes. If
a regular use cannot be guaranteed, a stagnation flush can be activated by
means of the new CVD button. The CVD touch electronics are a particularly
robust, touch-sensitive control unit, developed especially for the special
requirements in public, semi-public and commercial sanitary rooms. The
CVD button opens up new possibilities for an even more efficient and safer
stagnation flush. Because now, stagnation intervals and flush times can be
comfortably, individually and clearly adjusted via PC. Furthermore, there are
extensive diagnostic functions available.

As different as public sanitary rooms are, as individual are the requirements for
the corresponding operating concept. VITUS satisfies every desire of developers
and users.
5 activation options
Whether manual or self-closing operation – VITUS impresses with its wide range
of possibilities for actuating the water flow of wall-mounted draw-off taps or
showers. Choose between single-lever mixers, 90°-cartridge, hydraulic selfclosing cartridge or CVD button. They are all easy to operate and use symbols
which are easily understood.

3 wall-mounted tap lengths
Wherever VITUS is used as a wall-mounted tap – you can choose between
3 separate extensions: 190, 250 or 310 mm. The taps are available as swivelor fixed taps.
2 options to set the temperature
With VITUS the water temperature is adjusted either via mixing lever or
via thermostat. The thermostat mixer has a scald protection ex works.
In addition, a temperature limit can be set on all single-lever designs.

Less is more.
Efficiency plus safety from VITUS.
Due to limited natural resources, nowadays it is more important than ever to
ensure sustainable solutions. And this especially in areas where, as experience
has shown, the awareness for this topic is the lowest: in public, semi-public
and commercial sanitary rooms.
Water-saving functions. VITUS impresses with many possibilities of reducing
water consumption. These include for example spray regulators with pressureindependent flow regulators. The adjustable flow time limit for self-closing
designs, as well as the user specific flow time, also ensure no­­­­tice­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­able savings.
Low energy costs and scold protection. The provision of 1 m³ of hot water
requires approx. 95 kWh of energy and is thus approx. 80-times higher than
the consumption of 1 m³ of cold water. Therefore: only as much warm water
as needed should be used. For this reason the warm water temperature can
be limited for VITUS, either by a temperature stop or by locking the adjustment
range – and thus energy is saved lastingly. The enclosed temperature limiter
ring prevents scalding on thermostat fittings.
