We’re excited to help you improve your disclosure management skills through Point 9.2. This course is designed to help
you increase your hands-on knowledge while providing you with expert help from our Professional Services Group.
Your manual includes repeatable learning features, an area for your notes and a visual guide to help you understand the
content of this class. Keep it handy as you continue to learn about Point.
General Class Procedures
Please understand this is a Point Software program class and not a how-to originate or process loans class. Your
instructor will not answer specific loan questions — except as related to the software. It would be helpful if your questions
are related to the topic at hand. If not, your instructor will likely defer the answer until that topic is covered.
This is not a hands-on class: You are welcome to use your personal computer to follow the instructions but your instructor
cannot take the time to support any technical problems with your equipment or software.
Please turn off cell phones and other devices during the instruction time: This is simple courtesy to the other
students.
NOTES:
The training room will be locked or otherwise secure during the breaks. You may leave your class material if you wish,

Point 9.2  Creating the Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure

The Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure are dynamic.

The GFE and TIL must continue to be used for loan applications started prior to August 1 , and, as applicable for
st
excluded loans.
You will need access to all of the disclosures.

Calyx will continue to support both sets of disclosures.

Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure - Good News for Calyx Point Users

The steps for creating TILA-RESPA disclosures in a Point file will remain virtually the same as the current steps
for creating the GFE and TIL.

The Fees Worksheet and the Truth-in-Lending screens will remain in control of the data that populates the Loan
Estimate and the Closing Disclosure.

The Fees Worksheet and TIL screen will continue to be the initial data entry points for the data that will flow to the
required disclosures.

Data entered to the Fees Worksheets and TIL screens is routed to the required data points in the Loan Estimate
NOTES:

AIR Table

When an adjustable payment product is selected and the details are entered in the Truth-In-Lending screen, this
data flows to the Loan Estimate AP Table. Point adds the tables to the LE print form, which otherwise will not
show per, CFPB.
