“Do The Math” Notebook Requirements
“Do The Math” Notebook Requirements
In most chapters of your book is a “Do The Math” section. Some chapters even have
more than one of these sections. These sections include a practice math problem (or
problems) related to the topic at hand. What is required of you is that you keep an
organized composition notebook where you include:
1) the chapter number, title and page number of the given problem/s
2) a summary of the problem/s in your own words
3) the solution of the problem/s written out, showing every bit of math
(remember, you must do this on the APES exam!!).
4) any study hints for yourself related to the given math topic
Every test day you will be required to show me your composition notebook. What I
will be checking is to confirm that you completed all of the “Do The Math” sections
from the chapters you are being tested on that day.
Below is an outline of when these come up. Please note that if you see a black row, it
means that the chapter does not have a “Do the Math” section.
