A One Day seminar designed to train and certify those who package, handle, ship, and
are involved in shipping Diagnostic Specimens and Class 6.2 Infectious Substances in
accordance with IATA 1.5 and 49CFR Sec. 172.700. You will learn to ship your specimens properly and easily. In accordance with the US DOT and IATA, you will earn a
Certificate of Training that enables you to ship specimens worldwide, in compliance.
SAF-T-PAK has developed the CD especially for those who cannot attend a seminar or
take a full day from their schedules. It allows the parent employer to fulfill the charge
to them from the DOT to train all those involved in specimen shipments. That
includes all of the clinical sites spread across the country at remote locations.

Saf-T-Pak+ Systems use patented Saf-T-Pak technology that meets the
requirements of IATA Packaging Instruction 650 (diagnostic specimens) and 602 (infectious substances). Our certified secondary pressure vessels are pressure tested to hold an internal pressure differential
of 95 kPa without leaking. The product is a two-part system consisting
of an inner custom fitted biohazard, leakproof poly bag, and an outer
envelope container of Tyvek. Together they are stronger than today’s
present technology.
Each unit is for single use and is disposable. They are able to hold significantly more specimens per unit. They come in cases of 50...taking
2” of space on your lab shelf.
For Infectious shipments: this system is the tested part of the shipper and restricted to that shipper.
For Diagnostic shipments: this system is readily available for any
specimen shipment using any of the versatile secondary pressure vessels found on page 4 and page 5.
