Toboggan Run and Hiking Trail: Start at the bottom
station of the DreiSeenBahn, 40-minute walk to the tobogganing hut, distance 2.5 km. Rest stop at the Graf
Ferdinand Haus.

under the underpass and walk through a pretty stone
pine forest towards Ötz. Approx. 1 hour walk.

Knappen Trail: Coming from the Fire Station, pass
through the tunnel under the ski slope and then drop
down gently towards the toboggan run. Alternatively you
can continue along the toboggan run/hiking trail towards
the Graf Ferdinandhaus (rest stop).

• Day and multi-day tickets are available at the StartBahn, HochAlterBahn and DreiSeenBahn ticket
offices. Annual tickets only available at the StartBahn office. Annual tickets are valid during winter
opening hours and the following summer.
• Tickets can also be bought in advance at the HochAlterBahn ticket office on Wednesdays and
Saturdays from 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm.
General business conditions
• Please understand that discounts for children, youths and senior citizens can only be given upon
presentation of valid photo ID (date of birth). Invalids with a 60 % + disability (please provide ID!) are
entitled to discounts.
•All Küh-Cards are issued on hands-free cards. A £ 2.– deposit is payable. This will be refunded
when the card is returned undamaged at ticket offices, the tourist office, restaurants, hotels or shops
in Kühtai or at the lift ticket offices in Oetz/Ochsengarten.
• Ski passes bought will not be exchanged, changed or taken back and are not transferable to other
people.
• Multi-day passes are only valid on consecutive days. Get informed before you buy!
• Cards will be withdrawn and not replaced in the event of misuse.
• Skiers ski at their own risk.
• In the event of a skiing accident the value of the remaining, unused days on a multi-day ticket will
be refunded upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate.
• No refund will be made in the event of poor weather, departure, illness or injury, in the event of
closure of individual lifts, roads, loss of the ski pass, natural disaster, etc.
• The right is reserved to close individual lifts during or at the end of the season due to snow conditions
and to stop the ski bus service at the end of the season.
• Payment for ski tickets must be made in cash (”) or with a debit card (MAESTRO).
• In the event that access roads to Kühtai are closed due to the danger of avalanches, all multi-day cards
(up to 20 days) are also valid in the Rangger Köpfl and Gries/Sellraintal ski areas as well as Hochoetz.
• The court of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is in Silz. Only Austrian
law is applicable.
• The right is reserved to changes to tariffs, operating times and bus times and to misprints and errors.
FREESTYLE PARK FOR EVERYONE
The perfectly shaped KPark is a highlight
for all freestyle skiers. The super-pipe
(140 m long and 7 m high), the slopestyle
facility or the super-cross course also
offers pure action.
Perfect for training: the KidsPark in the
Kühtai skiing area. Here the little ones as
well as all other beginners can have a
fling and try their first jumps and slides.
The HochAlter 4-seater-chairlift
(with weather-protective covers) takes you
directly to the brightly lit run. “Zum Kaiser
Maximilian” cabin open, piste illuminated
until 11:00 pm.

Go on a scavenger hunt across the skiing area in Kühtai: it makes skiing even more fun!
Follow the fastest cow “Resi” across the skiing area: 12 stations
and 15 km of pursuit fun with tasks and puzzles are waiting for you.
Prerequisites: the Kühtai rally is a scavenger hunt on skis.

Around 600 hotel beds, three lifts, 40
half- and full-day tours, bars with
dance bands throughout the season, a
fully-automatic bowling alley, photographic, sports goods and shoe shops,
a hairdresser and the obligatory taxi
company are all available to guests.
Next year an indoor pool and sauna will
be added. And all of these facilities
are well used by guests. Over and above people’s physical well-being, the
health of their soul is not forgotten
either. In a small, stylish mountain
chapel, the hard-working priest of Ochsengarten reads holy mass on Sundays
and public holidays.
It goes without saying that Kühtai can
boast an excellent ski school. Hardworking instructors in the “white art”
this year built a new home for the ski
school, which also houses the tourist
information office. This association has
chosen a modern design of a cow as its
symbol, hinting at the origins of the
“Kuh (cow) valley”.
Since the beginning of November Kühtai
is again in the sign of the “white
sport”. Firstly came the hardy people
of Innsbruck, followed by the tourists.
From distant Spain they even sent 30
men to learn the tried and tested technique of the Austrian ski school.
Following on the heels of this, or rather on the skis of this, came a “Made
in England” wedeling course. And amongst all of them – unrecognisably – came
ski enthusiasts from our northern neigh-
bour. Once again there is a buzz of
different languages on the slopes. The
majority of hotels and guest houses open
their doors to guests just before Christmas and close them again in mid-May. Up
in Kühtai, the winter is long…
