Reviewed as one of Australia’s best nature experiences discover the wilderness, wildlife and tastes of Tasmania on this
afternoon/evening tour. Enjoy a gourmet campfire dinner with a
wonderful after dark wildlife show which focuses on the antics
of the eastern quoll in its natural habitat.
The Wilderness
Visit Ben Lomond, a spectacular mountain
of dolerite columns and scree slopes and
home to eight of the twenty highest peaks
in Tasmania. Awesome views and a
magnificent array of alpine vegetation are
on offer. The Park plays an invaluable role
in regional wildlife conservation. Ben
Lomond is the highest drivable point in
Tasmania.
The Campfire Dinner
Dinner is a 4 course campfire, somewhat,
Tasmanian bush tucker affair consisting of
Tasmanian cheese platter with Tasmanian
smoked chicken, salmon and wallaby and
followed by wallaby mountain burgers and
native spiced salmon. Settle back and relax
with a Tassie beer or wine and watch the sun
set to experience one of natures best after
dark shows on offer.

endearing wildlife species:
Eastern quolls, pademelons

reputation for fine wine is growing with grapes producing the
highest value per tonne in Australia - visit up to six Tamar Valley
vineyard cellar doors offering an outstanding range of
Tasmanian cool climate wines and meet the people passionate
about the wines they produce along with a wonderful lunch.
Jansz Tasmania - A rustic and beautiful old timber winery
where Jansz began is now a stunning state-of-the-art cellar door
and interpretation centre set beside a lake amidst vines and
wandering geese. Jansz is long acclaimed as one of
Australia’s best sparkling wines
Delamere Vineyard - A delightfully rustic cellar door and
one of Tasmania’s longest running family operated wine
estates, focused on producing distinguished sparkling and
still wines from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties.
Holm Oak Vineyard - has 12 Ha of vineyards and include
Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Arneis,
Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Rosevears Estate - This cellar
door is now home to Kayena and White Hills vineyard wines. The
Tamar Ridge range of wines from Kayena offers a comprehensive
range or wines for tasting and known for its trophy winning
Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot
Rosevears has the full range of Tamar Ridge wines and Pirie
Sparkling can be tasted at the cellar door as well as a range of
the Devil’s Corner wines. The informative and friendly staff will
guide you through the range of wines
Restaurant Lunch - The Barrel Room is an exciting
new restaurant at Legana’s Velo Vineyard.
Velo.Vineyard
Velo is a small family operated vineyard and winery
and owner Michael Wilson is an ex Tour de France
cyclist. Velo Wines has enjoyed success with an
award winning range of vibrant fine wines: Vintage
Sparkling, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot
Noir, cabernet/Merlot and Shiraz.

Visit the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary for a captivating
encounter with Tassie devils, wombats and Forester
kangaroos. Journey to the beautiful Tamar Valley region for
some quality wining and dining and Tamar Valley views
Departing Launceston we travel to
the Meander Valley region to visit the
Trowunna Wildlife Park for a private
tour to meet the unforgettable furry
and feathered inhabitants. You will
have the opportunity to interact with
the Forester kangaroos, cuddle a
wombat and see the Tasmanian
devils being fed. On leaving
Trowunna we then travel to the
beautiful Tamar Valley region.
Rosevears Estate - This cellar door is now

Day 1 - Ben Lomond National Park, Evercreech Forest Reserve
and the Quoll Patrol - Gourmet wilderness & wildlife tour
Day 2 - Platypus spotting & Tamar Valley vineyards

Start the day with a visit to Ben Lomond
National Park, an awesome mountain of
dolerite columns and scree slopes featuring
spectacular views and a magnificent array
of alpine vegetation are on offer. After a
picnic lunch we travel to Evercreech Forest
Reserve and visit the world’s tallest white
gum trees and walk amongst ancient tree
ferns before culminating with a gourmet
campfire and somewhat bush tucker dinner
and wildlife spotting on private acreage. Sit
by the campfire and enjoy a glass of cool
climate wine and experience one of natures
best after dark wildlife shows on offer.

Day 2 - Platypus Viewing and Tamar

Overnight: Beulah B&B in Scottsdale
Dinner: On tour
After a Beulah Heritage country style
breakfast we travel a short distance to the
outskirts of Scottsdale to view the unique
and fascinating platypus.
Leaving the platypus, we continue to the
Tamar Valley where we visit a variety of
vineyards. Jansz Tasmania boasts the best
bubbles in Tasmania and experience the
rustic charm of Delamere Vineyard. Crossing
the picturesque Tamar River we chase the
reds and visit Holm Oak and feed Pinot Pig
an apple. Moving down the Tamar River we
visit Tamar Ridge at Rosevears Estate before
lunch at the Velo Vineyard Barrel Room.

platypus spotting and then a visit to Ben
Lomond, a spectacular mountain of dolerite

lunch we travel via the forests of Roses Tier
to the Tyne Valley for a campfire dinner and
a nocturnal wildlife tour. Enjoy a glass of
wine and see the wombats, wallabies,
possums, pademelons and eastern quolls
congregate near the campfire.

Departing Launceston we travel to the
Meander Valley region to visit the

Enjoy a morning in the Sparkling Pipers wine

Chromy Vineyard Restaurant for lunch in a
stunning location to experience superb
Tasmanian wines and fine cuisine made with
fresh local produce.

Day 2 - Mt. William National Park & Bay of Fires
Today we will explore the Mt. William National Park and Bay of Fires
region to enjoy the stunning coastline and pristine white beaches.
Encounters with the Forester kangaroo – the only true kangaroo found in
Tasmania – are part of the rich diversity of flora and fauna.

Day 3 -Trowunna Wildlife to Corinna Wilderness Retreat
Leaving Scottsdale we travel to Trowunna Wildlife Park for a private tour to
meet the inhabitants. You will have the opportunity to interact with the forester
kangaroos, cuddle a wombat and see the Tasmanian devils being fed. From
Trowunna we then travel to Corinna on the edge of the Tarkine

Day 4 - Corinna Wilderness Retreat
Be immersed by nature in the Arthur/Pieman Conservation Area at Corinna for
an unforgettable experience that unlocks the secrets of the Tarkine rainforest
and the Wild West coast. Take a boat cruise and experience some of the walks.

Day 5 - Corinna to Cradle Mountain
Departing Corinna our journey today takes us to Cradle Mountain. Visit Dove
Lake, Waldheim Lodge with a variety of walks on offer

Day 6 - Corinna to Launceston
Departing Cradle Mountain we travel to Narawntapu National Park. The park boasts a
rich array of animals including Forester kangaroos, Bennett’s wallabies, pademelons,
wombats and many bird species. From Narawntapu we travel to the Tamar Wetlands
before ending our day in Launceston
