When Henning Koppel first designed his world famous watch in 1978, he broke with tradition and changed the
way of marking time on watches by substituting dots for numbers. This simple yet striking difference in watch
design has influenced Georg Jensen watch collections ever since and embodies the fundamental minimalist
design values in Georg Jensen: A daring simplicity combining functionality and quality.

SHE GRADUATED FROM THE
ACADEMY OF INDUSTRIAL ARTS
IN STOCKHOLM IN 1945 AND
IN 1956 SHE SETTLED IN PARIS
WHERE SHE QUICKLY BECAME
KNOWN FOR HER JEWELLERY.
VIVIANNA’S DESIGNS HAVE
BECOME LEGENDARY AND ARE
EXHIBITED AT SEVERAL
MUSEUMS WORLDWIDE

MODERN ART IN NEW YORK.
Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe was one of the iconic jewellery and watch designers of the 20th century. In particular,
her watch designs came to symbolise the delicate synergy between a watch’s form and her desire to liberate us
from the shackles of time. Designed in the late 1960s, Vivianna’s philosophy was that a watch should not make
us prisoners of time – but liberate us. The organically swung bangle is open-ended to symbolise that time should
not bind us, and the dial like a mirror reminds us that life is now.

The VIVIANNA OVAL watch is a tribute to Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe’s memory after her passing in 2004.
Originally designed in 1977, the VIVIANNA OVAL watch is a fascinating object to behold because of its
surprising simplicity. The Nordic landscape inspired and fascinated Vivianna from her early childhood with its
purity, defined forms and seasonal transformations. The watch’s shape resembles a lake which exudes a calming
emotion when illuminated by the moon’s mystical silver, blue hues. This moment is captured in the watch’s design
and reflective mirror face which is a signature trademark of Vivianna’s work.

The CONCAVE watch launched in 2006 is Nicolas Barth Nussbaumer’s first collaboration with Georg Jensen.
The CONCAVE collection challenges the traditional design of the modern watch by integrating the dial and the
watch case into one form so that all visible elements of the watch are concave. Even the hands of the watch
are crafted to match the concave contours of the form. The watch dials are inspired by a human eye and the
changing gradients of colour.

The VICE collection combines the classic strength utility and functionality of a steel bracelet watch with the
design elegance and simplicity of Georg Jensen’s design language. The VICE watch’s bezel and back case lock
the body of the watch in a tight embrace - a vice like position. The steel bracelet also emulates this form giving
the watch a sturdy, powerful appearance.

EDVARD KINDT-LARSEN
Edvard Kindt-Larsen’s watch was originally designed as a bracelet in 1952. In 1993 it was launched as a silver
watch and now the watch is also available in different versions in stainless steel. The watchcase itself has a very
elegant design, so that it discreetly emphasises the fine bracelet and becomes a harmonious part of the jewellery.
The watch is simple, elegant and functional.
