instruments. Our most advanced, full line of digital products, Propel 40 offers you
the ability to create true personalisation for your patient.
At the heart of each Propel hearing instrument is BluWave® 3.0, an operating
system designed to maximise performance in many challenging listening
environments that your patients often have to deal with today.
Propel 40 products are equipped with well researched industry leading features to
ensure best results are achieved from the very first appointment. This can all be
done in an easy to use and intuitive fitting software package Inspire 2014.
Propel 40 Features include:
SpeechTrax2. Instant and variable noise reduction- Designed to minimise noise
(between syllables of speech)to help preserve speech where possible and reduce
listening effort. Programmable with 3 levels.
Dynamic Directional Detection. Automatic switching directional microphone system
to improve speech over noise. Adjustable settings are also available in Inspire
software for more experienced wearers.
FrequencyTrax. Frequency translation technology. Designed to boost high frequency

Repair & Reconditioning
Guide to our process for repair & reconditioning of hearing aids
1. Shipping Department
Receipt of package in shipping department. Package opened and each aid placed into a unique numbered box.
NB. Starkey request that a note be enclosed with any aid, where a patient may have MRSA or any other contagious virus, as Starkey
staff must be aware for handling purposes. Any high risk unit is processed prior to repair in a sonic cleaner, where it receives an
extensive clean, using ammonia.
2. All Make Repair Department
Order entry, where the box number, customer and aid details are entered. Labels containing this information are printed off
and placed on the paperwork and one on the outer box.
Holding Shelf - this is where the boxes are placed and wait in turn, to be analysed.
If the aids has not been processed through the sonic cleaner, then it is cleaned thoroughly at this point using IPA (Isopropyl alcohol).
A technician carries out an analysis and trouble shooting.
A new case and ear hook are replaced 100% of the time. Battery drawers, volume controls, microphones, receivers and amplifiers
are replaced where necessary.
If the battery drawer is replaced the serial number will be attached to the inside of the battery drawer on the hearing aid casing.
3. Quality Control Department
Passed to quality control where aid is listened to and electro acoustically tested to check against specification.
Final Quality Control.
Coding and amending ~ Actions taken are entered into the system to ensure a full aid history.
4. Shipping Department
Aid is double checked to ensure the serial number, patient details and shipping location is correct before invoicing.
Terms & Conditions
Prices
Starkey Laboratories Limited supplies goods by reference to the published price list at the time of receipt of order.
Special written price agreements between Starkey Laboratories Limited and the buyer may supersede the published price list.
Any written price agreement will lapse 12 months from the date of issue.
All prices are exclusive of VAT.
Prices do not include any surcharge levied by NHSSC.
Loyalty discounts are available, please contact your Area Manager to discuss discounts.
• Stock Price is for those items held within NHS SC warehouses.
• Blue Diamond Price is for those items that are ordered through NHS SC and delivered through the NHS SC supply route to the
customer.
• E-Direct Price is for those items ordered through NHS SC but delivered directly to individual customer sites by Starkey Laboratories
Limited.
Starkey Laboratories Limited reserve the right to vary prices in accordance with changes in costs and market conditions.
Terms of Payment
Invoices are due for payment no later than 30 days following the end of the month of issue. All invoices should be checked and any
disputes directed to the Accounts Department within 14 days of receipt of invoice (0161 483 2200 / [email protected]). For
undisputed overdue invoices not paid in full Starkey Laboratories Limited reserves the right to:
• suspend future deliveries
• discontinue price list discounts
• charge interest on overdue invoices
Payment Methods
Payment will be accepted by bank transfer, cheque and credit/debit card. All payments should be accompanied by a remittance advice.

Title of Goods
Title of goods supplied to the buyer shall remain with Starkey Laboratories Limited until full payment for the goods has
been received and cleared. Until title to the goods passes to the buyer, Starkey Laboratories Limited may repossess the
goods supplied, or, should the buyer have resold the goods, claim any proceeds from the resale. The proceeds from any
resale transaction should be held on trust for Starkey Laboratories Limited.
Delivery
Delivery of goods is subcontracted to independent specialist suppliers and subject to the subcontractors terms and
conditions. Standard delivery is by way of Royal Mail. Starkey Laboratories Limited may, at its own discretion, choose an
alternative delivery method. Starkey Laboratories Limited may make alternative delivery methods available to the buyer and
may charge appropriately for their service. Consignment of goods to Starkey Laboratories Limited is the responsibility of
the consignee.
Return Privilege
All Starkey Laboratories Limited hearing instruments, unless subject to any alternative written agreement, may be returned
for full credit to the purchaser’s account within 90 days from the invoice date. Starkey Laboratories Limited grants an
additional 60 days grace period within which a £25.00 deduction per hearing aid from the credit amount is made, making
a total of 150 days from the invoice date. Starkey Laboratories Limited returns policy does not affect the buyer’s payment
obligations. Hearing instruments should be returned as new.
Credit may be reduced to compensate for damage or incomplete packaging and or accessories. Earmoulds, equipment
and sundries are excluded from this return privilege. Starkey Laboratories Limited also reserves the right to charge an
administration fee to cover the cost of processing returned items.
Warranty
Starkey Laboratories Limited strongly advises that consumers insure their hearing equipment against loss and accidental
damage. Starkey Laboratories Limited warrants that, according to its own discretion, it will either repair, or refund, any
goods or services that it accepts as being defective or not in accordance with an agreed contract within the following
schedule;

Warranty is assumed to commence 14 days following dispatch from Starkey Laboratories Limited unless otherwise notified.
Exclusions include but are not limited to;
• Specific written agreements that replace standard terms and conditions. e.g. an authorised extended
warranty plan.
• Damage due to improper handling, accident, unauthorised repair, changes to ear physiology, fair wear and tear and
solvents and aural secretions.
• Damage due to moisture, water or other liquid or due to a failure to provide reasonable maintenance and cleaning.
• RIC receivers are supplied with a 36 month warranty from the date of invoice. Faulty receivers should be returned to
Starkey Laboratories Limited with account information to receive replacements.
• Starkey Laboratories Limited does allow one custom shell remake within the return privilege period of 150 days.
• System 2000 warranty; an additional warranty that may be purchased when a custom product is ordered. This warranty
plan provides for a replacement hearing instrument in the event of loss (supported by a police report, one loss only in the
cover period) for the duration of the standard Starkey Laboratories Limited warranty period.
Repair
Starkey Laboratories Limited operates a fixed tariff repair service. Fixed tariff repair prices are designed to reduce costs
to Starkey Laboratories Limited, the buyer and the customer by reducing administration. Starkey Laboratories Limited
reserves the right to charge for quotations for repairs. Starkey Laboratories Limited reserves the right to vary repair
charges at its own discretion.
