We were so blessed to be part of the Home Builders Blitz, which provided a new home for a local family. ” Jeffrey K. Jennings President, Jack Jennings & Sons “Butler’s Preserve is more than homes and lawns. And even though I absolutely love my porch, what’s even more valuable is the relationships I’ve formed with my neighbors — so much so that I consider them my family. There are no words to describe what it means to have your own home, and I will forever be grateful to God, the Habitat Greater Orlando team and all the builders and volunteers who helped me get to this point.” Tonya 2015 Homeowner habitat-orlando.org JUNE 6 - 10, 2016 2016 Committee Members Jeff Jennings Jack Jennings & Sons Cory Aspelieter PCL Construction Scott Merritt Greater Orlando Builders Association Dillon Muto Legacy Homes Mike Rowen Legacy Homes Terry Eckert Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando Builders and Sponsors as of December 2015 Builders Sponsors Partners Greater Orlando Builders Association Hunter Douglas Blinds J&N Stone James Hardie Tri-City Electrical Valspar Paint Whirlpool Yale Locks habitat-orlando.org JUNE 6 - 10, 2016 •Plumbing Tubset •Windows •Start Roof Felt •BORACARE Termite Treatment • Install Insulation • HVAC Rough-In Inspection •Shingles • Frame Inspection •Siding • Exterior Paint • Hang Shutters •Fascia/Soffit Day Three •Lay Sod •Interior Doors •Window Sills •Trim/Base •Interior Paint •Cabinets/Counters •MEP Trim out •Stone Columns •Electrical Trim •Security System Trim •Plumbing Trim •Install Bathroom Accessories •HVAC Trim •Landscaping •Flooring •Cleaning •Wall Sheathing •Wall Sheathing Inspection •Roof Sheathing •Electrical Rough-In Inspection • Low Voltage Inspection •Plumbing Rough-In Inspection •Punch/Clean-up work •Pre-Power Inspection •Plumbing Final •HVAC Final •Set Meter •Electrical Final •Building Final Inspection habitat-orlando.org • Insulation Inspection • Hang Drywall •Tape/Mud/Finish • Texture Inside Walls Day Five •Framing Day Six Day Two Day One •Roof Sheathing/Decking Inspection •Building Wrap •Electrical Rough-In •HVAC Rough-In Day Four 2016 Home Builders Blitz Sample Builder Timeline •C.O. •Finalize Building •Closing Ceremony JUNE 6 - 10, 2016 John Hall - Floor Plan habitat-orlando.org JUNE 6 - 10, 2016 Home Builders Blitz Expectations and Benefits Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando will provide: Builders are asked to: •Building permits to your subcontractors so they can pull their permits •Inspectors onsite every day of the weeklong blitz •Detailed spec sheets outlining standards of home(s) •Support via our construction team prior to and during week of the blitz •Complete site prep, including stakeout of the home on lot •Prospective partners in food and beverage services (donated or at discounted price points) for the week of the blitz •Marketing initiatives including press releases to local media •Security onsite during the entire week •Appraisal of all homes •Donations from national and local partners including: •Donate labor, materials and services to build one home or duplex from the slab up in five days m Hunter Douglas: Privacy blinds (Bedroom) m J & N Stone: Exterior stone work m James Hardie Building Products: Hardie board m Square D: Electrical meter bases, breaker panel and breakers m Valspar Paint: Interior and exterior paint m Whirl Pool: Refrigerator and range m Yale Locks: Exterior locks • Complete foundation and prep prior to event start •Engage subcontractors to donate services and products needed based on the specifications of a Habitat Greater Orlando home •Review and comply with all specs and standards to ensure all homeowners realize the same features in their new home •Assist with providing food and beverages during the week of the Blitz for their crews •Provide any needed onsite recognition for subcontractors •Consider cash donation to assist with offsetting Habitat Greater Orlando’s costs of permit and impact fees Benefits to our generous builders include: •An investment in the future of Central Florida •Present keys to a new homeowner during the dedication closing ceremony •Builders may be asked to speak to the media during the week •Invitations to the pre-event celebration “Family & Builder Meet and Greet” •Inclusion in the Habitat Greater Orlando giving society •Prominent logo placement and recognition includes: m m m m m m Public relations, media and advertising initiatives Print and electronic marketing materials Event signage at Butler’s Preserve during the weeklong blitz Habitat Greater Orlando website Event memorabilia Social media recognition on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram habitat-orlando.org
