MEASURING INFORMATION
HOW TO MEASURE
Measure each window individually as
size variances are common. Record
width first, then height to the nearest
1
⁄8". Measure width from left to right,
height from top to bottom using a
steel tape measure.
⁄4 1⁄2 3⁄4
⁄8 3⁄8 5⁄8 7⁄8
1
1
Do not use a cloth tape.
Inside Mount
Inside mount blinds are installed inside the
window casing or door, or wall to wall in a room.
The window casing must be at least 3" deep for
flush track mount or 33⁄4" deep for flush louver
mount. Otherwise, an angle bracket may be
necessary.
(Minimum recessed space = 23⁄8").
3"
1.Measure the exact inside width of window
casing from one inside edge to the other in
three different places. Record the narrowest
measurement.
2. Measure the exact height in three different
places from top edge of opening to top of
sill. Record the shortest measurement.
3. Measure the window diagonally in two places
as shown. If the two diagonal dimensions are
not equal, we recommend an outside mount
application for optimal shade function and
aesthetics.
4. Do not take deductions. Allowances are
made at the factory to ensure a perfect fit.
Outside Mount
Outside mount blinds are installed outside the
window casing, covering an area larger than the
window itself.
1. Measure the exact width of window, including
the frame if there is one. Add 3" for each side
(6" total overlap) to ensure light control and
privacy.
2. Measure the exact height of window from
top edge of molding to bottom edge, or to
top of sill if there is one. Add 3" to allow for
adequate mounting area above the window.
3. If blind extends to the floor (i.e., to cover
patio door) measure the exact height of
window from top edge of molding to the floor
and add 21/2" to allow for adequate mounting
area above the window. This will give room
for 1/2" clearance so the louvers do not touch
the floor.
4. T
he factory makes NO allowances on outside
mount.
NOTE: To have the entire window uncovered
when blinds are fully open, see below section.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR UNCOVERED WINDOW
(F.B.W.)
1. D
etermine the clear opening width for one-way stack or
split stack (See diagrams) - the additional 3" shown for
privacy is recommended if ordering one-way stack.
Clear Opening
(C.O.)
2. M
atch the clear opening width with dimension found under
“C.O.” COLUMN on page 22. For even spacing, round up
width measurement to the next size in the stack chart. Split
stack will have even numbers of louvers.
3. O
rder the corresponding dimension found in the “F.B.W.”
(Finished Blind Width) column on page 22.
One Way Stack
Finished Blind Width
(F.B.W.)
(F.B.W.)
Example: One-Way Stack
If determined width for clear opening window view is 521⁄4",
order width needed to provide full unobstructed view is 663⁄4".

MANUFACTURING DEDUCTIONS
1. INSIDE MOUNT – CEILING OR TOP OF WINDOW FRAME
(STANDARD)
A 5⁄8" manufacturing height
deduction is taken for blinds
being installed as inside,
ceiling mount without a
valance. An additional
1⁄8" manufacturing height
deduction is taken if a
valance is included.
3. O
UTSIDE MOUNT – WALL OR BACK (STANDARD)
No manufacturing height deduction is taken.
2. INSIDE MOUNT – WALL OR BACK OF WINDOW FRAME
A 1" manufacturing height deduction is taken for blinds
being installed as inside mount using the L-bracket for
a wall mount. An additional 1⁄8" manufacturing height
deduction is taken if a valance is included, to accommodate
the height of the valance clip.
4. O
UTSIDE MOUNT – CEILING OR TOP (OPTION)
No manufacturing height deduction taken.
SPECIAL MOUNTING CONSIDERATIONS
WALL-TO-WALL BLINDS: If blind width extends wall-to-wall in
a room.
1. Follow measuring instructions for Inside Mount.
2. If blind is to be mounted to ceiling, specify track clips. If
blind is to be mounted to wall, specify angle brackets.
CEILING MOUNT: For blinds mounted to ceiling.
1. If blind width extends from wall-to-wall, mark order “INSIDE
MOUNT". Follow measuring instructions for Wall-to-Wall
Blinds.
2. If blind width does not extend wall-to-wall, mark order
“OUTSIDE MOUNT". Follow measuring instructions for
Outside Mount.
3. Specify track clips on order.
SPECIAL NOTE – When blind is drawn fully open and

overlap may need to be more than 6".

LOUVERS
Embossed Vinyl Verticals
Fabric Vertical Blinds
echnology has changed the face of Graber vinyl
T
verticals so dramatically you would think they were
made of fabric.
Fabric louvers come with sewn-in bottom
weights in free-hanging louvers and optional
chains and clips.
Whatever the style, all embossed vinyl affords value,
durability, easy cleaning and superior light control.
To increase privacy and room darkening, fabric
louvers can be inserted into Channel Panels.
The crystal clear edge channels are nearly
invisible, yet hold fabric securely and will not
yellow over time. The opaque vinyl louvers
provide complete privacy.
Coordinating 2" Designer Vinyl Horizontals
raber offers an array of styles in 2" Designer Vinyl
G
horizontal blinds, which coordinate beautifully with
many vinyl vertical styles. For pricing, see the Graber
2" Designer Vinyl Horizontal Price List and Product
Information Guide.
Due to the nature of louver materials
(both fabric and vinyl prints), colors may
vary slightly from dye lot to dye lot. Exact
matches cannot be guaranteed.

Headrail cannot be bent to a radius tighter than 80".
To check your application for bend radius:
1. Determine preferred application - A, B, or C (below).
2. Measure “B” and “X” for your application (diagrams below).
3. On the Bend Radius Chart, draw a line up from your “B” dimension and over
from your “X” dimension.
4. If your two lines intersect below the 80" radius line, application is okay.
If lines intersect above the 80" radius line, application is not feasible.
5. Factory will make allowance for louver clearance.
6. If radius is less than 100", only split stack is available.
Note: D
epending on bend and finished blind width, separate tracks may
be recommended by factory.

CURVED HEADRAIL MEASURING GUIDE
See appropriate window drawing. To insure a proper fit, fax or mail a diagram with order
to the attention of the Specialty Department (see page 23 for address).
FACTORY WILL MAKE ALLOWANCE FOR LOUVER CLEARANCE.
Measurements should be taken from wall to wall or window to window.
STANDARD APPLICATION (A)
Measure exact window baseline (B) and depth (X). Factory will make deduction for louver
clearance. Diagram shows back corner of track sitting on the baseline.
OPTIONAL APPLICATION (B)
Measure exact window baseline (B) and depth (X). Indicate that front corners of headrail
should be flush with baseline. Factory will make appropriate deductions. Diagram shows front
corners of track sitting on the baseline. This application could leave light gaps at end of track
giving visibility to outside.
OPTIONAL APPLICATION (C)
Measure exact window baseline (B) and depth (X). Also indicate recessed wall measurement.
Factory will take deductions for louver clearance. Diagram shows track extending beyond the
baseline. This will help cover the side walls to eliminate and light gap.
