I am back programming the Festival following two excellent years by my colleague Ben Humphrey. There are a huge amount of things to do in the Festival in August. The Cathedral has excelled itself again with a wide range of interesting and fun activities. Also, it is worth noting that there are many free events. Old favourites the Gugge Band and Shirley Pipe Band are back, there are both Riverside and High Street Markets, children’s activities, plays, concerts, walks, exhibitions and much, much more. To quote from our mission statement, “The Festival is an opportunity to attend a large selection of both professional and community events. It is a celebration of life and of Worcester and its people.” Come on, let’s get celebrating!
