Whether you are looking for a specific hue,
would like to match a roof you have found in a
magazine or desire a specialized texture, your
options are endless.
Choose a base color, one or more antiques or
flashings and a texture to create a custom color of
your own. Choose two or more to create a blend.
Looking for something more unique? Contact us—
if it can be done, we will find a way to meet your
requests.
Our Estate, Bella and Plantation profiles are
produced on state-of-the-art production lines while
Bermuda, Rustic Shake and Galena are each considered
more of a handmade product.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Custom Products are made to order. Generally,
most orders can be produced within four weeks.
However, some products may take longer
depending on the profile, size of the order and
our current demand for stocked products.

Products.

When choosing a custom color, it is important that you
first understand how concrete products are manufactured.
Unlike paint which is always the same, concrete products
are constructed from raw materials. Though we purchase
the most consistent raw materials available, variations
are inevitable. Tiles can not be manufactured to a perfect
match, but we often get very close.
CUSTOM PRODUCTS
If the custom color you have chosen is a
light hue, chances are we will need white cement (rather
than standard gray cement) to ensure your color is crisp and
clean. All Category 1 and 2 products are made with gray
cement. Category 3 products are made with white cement.
CEMENT COLOR.
ANTIqUE/FLASHING
ANTIqUE/FLASHING. We recommend using an
antique with color thru products or a flashing with slurry
products. Both antique and flashing are applied in a
random process, meaning both the area covered and the
amount of color will vary from tile to tile. If desired, more
than one color can be applied.
CAN I SEE A SAMPLE?
We always recommend ordering a sample before placing
an entire custom order. Please contact your contractor for
a sample and associated sample fees when considering
Custom Products.
TEXTURE
TEXTURES. During the manufacturing process, textures can
be imprinted on the surface of our Bermuda and Plantation
profiles to achieve diverse appearances. The texture will vary
from tile to tile, creating a natural looking finish on the roof.

OXFORD RIDGE FINISH
Use antique to achieve different styles from the same

OUR ANTIqUING & FLASHING
Entegra applies antiquing in a random process, meaning
both the area covered and the amount of antique will vary
from tile to tile. As a result of this technique, the antiquing
will range from a soft contrast to a rich tone, enhancing the
overall appearance of the roof.
OUR BLENDS
Entegra’s blends are created by choosing colors and quantities
of tile that will be mixed together during the roof loading
process. This methodology allows the ratio of colors in the
blend to be easily customized.
When a Non-Stock or Custom blend is made to order,
sometimes during production we may transition from one color
to the next without cleaning the mixer and belts. This transitional
blending method will produce a few tiles between colors that
may show some of both hues. These tiles will be blended with
the rest of the colors during the roof loading process.
OUR TRIM & ACCESSORIES
Unique trim tiles, oxides, hip and ridge trim metal and eave
closure are essential finishing touches to complement each of
our tile options. The results produce an authentic look that
enhances the curb appeal of any residential, commercial or
historical building. Our trim tiles are produced with the same

A cool roof reflects and emits the sun’s heat back to the sky
instead of transferring it to the building below. “Coolness”
is measured by two properties, solar reflectance (SR) and
thermal emittance (TE). Both properties are measured from
0.0 to 1.0, and the higher the value, the cooler the roof.

This temporary condition on the surface of
the tile is common in all concrete products.
The efflorescence process is caused by the
chemical nature of cement. It can appear as a
chalky white bloom or in concentrated patches
on the tile. We cannot predict how long the
effects will last—it will be dependent upon the
type and amount of deposit on the product,
local weather conditions and surroundings.
In most cases, rainwater will steadily remove
the deposit, leaving the original color of the
tile unharmed without further efflorescence.
The efflorescence process does not affect the
quality or functionality of the tile.
MAINTENANCE
Since working on roofs can be extremely dangerous and the
risk of injury is high, it is always best to hire a professional
when working on and/or maintaining your roof.
Nearly all building products in the Southeast are subject to
mildew and/or algae growth because of climatic conditions.
Dirt and other particles contained in the air collect on the
surface of the roof tile. Morning dew, rain and humidity then
provide the necessary moisture for mildew/algae growth.
In most cases, the use of a pressure washer not exceeding
1,200 PSI will remove the mildew/algae. After cleaning, most
roofing products will exhibit slight shading variations that may
not have been present prior to cleaning. Exposure to sunlight,
shade and rain all create slight variations in the roof tile color
as well as slight texture differences, depending on the exposure
to the elements.

COLOR
Tiles are produced as close to samples as
possible. The variability of raw materials and
other factors may cause the actual colors of
the tiles to vary. Concrete roof tiles go through
various stages of efflorescence which may also
result in some color variation. Prior to making
a final choice, it is important to evaluate
actual tile samples and completed roofs.
vARIABILITy
Some variability between tiles will occur with
our handmade textures. No two tiles will be
identical.

MONOTONE
PALLET RETURNS
Single color roofs contain some level of
variation in the hue from one tile to another.
We recommend that blends and/or antiques
be used to help mask the inevitable variations
of monotone roofs. In some cases, owners
of monotone colored roofs elect to have a
tint seal applied to the newly installed tile,
creating a more consistently colored roof.
Pallet returns are eligible for partial pallet credits. They must be
returned within 60 days.
SLURRy
Slurry is a cementitious color coating that
is applied to the top surface of the roof tile
body after the tile is extruded. Typically, a
base coat of cementitious slurry is applied and
then one or two flashing colors of slurry are
applied over the base coat to give a blended
effect to the tile. Slurry tiles are sometimes
referred to as color coated tiles. Slurry
products are not approved for freeze/thaw
areas. During shipping, loading and installation
of slurry tiles, chipping or delamination of the
nose, edges or corners often occurs and can
be touched up with matching paint.
SCUFF MARKS
Scuff marks are a temporary surface condition
caused by two pieces of tile rubbing against
one another. In no way is the integrity of your
roof compromised, and weather elements will
soon eliminate the appearance of scuff marks.
