When it comes to making tile, we have the most sophisticated
concrete mixing and coloring systems in Florida. Our batching
equipment provides the foundation for consistent tile and
reduces the problems associated with color.
We are a smaller company that can react quickly to the
changing needs of our customers. We do not have layers of
management to wade through to address issues.

MEASUrEMENT, ANALYSIS &
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
Based on 2011 data, less than 1 order per 1,000
resulted in a complaint regarding manufacturing
quality.
Of the issues we did experience in 2011, 92%
were acknowledged within one business day.
We resolved 67% of these issues in one week
and 80% within two weeks. In 2011, 98%
of the orders delivered by Entegra were shipped
in full on the scheduled date communicated to
our customers. An additional 1% of the orders
that could not be delivered on a single truck
were delivered in full by the end of the next
business day.

Use this reference guide to learn about the
different profiles offered, as well as unique
traits of Entegra’s concrete roof tiles.
TrIM & ACCESSOrIES: Unique trim
tiles, oxides, hip and ridge trim metal and
eave closures are essential finishing touches
to complement each of our tile options.
The results produce an authentic look that
enhances the curb appeal of any residential,
commercial or historical building. Our trim
tiles are produced with the same quality and
durability standards that are found in our field
tile. We also provide matching oxides for our
color thru and slurry tile to create professional
looking mortars.
ANTIqUING/FLASH: Entegra applies
antique in a random process, meaning both
the area covered and the amount of antique
will vary from tile to tile. As a result of this
technique, the antiquing will range from a soft
contrast to a rich tone, enhancing the overall
appearance of the roof.
COLOr: Tiles are produced as close to
samples as possible. The variability of raw
materials and other factors may cause the
actual colors of the tiles to vary. Concrete roof
tiles go through various stages of efflorescence
which may also result in some color variation.
This is a natural process that takes place in all
concrete products, and in time, the tiles will
return to their natural color.
BLENDS: Entegra blends are comprised
of individually colored tiles that are handblended on the roof, creating a natural
looking blend.

A cool roof reflects and emits the sun’s heat back to the sky
instead of transferring it to the building below. “Coolness”
is measured by two properties, solar reflectance (SR) and
thermal emittance (TE). Both properties are measured from
0.0 to 1.0, and the higher the value, the cooler the roof.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental
design (LEEd) is a rating system
that provides a set of standards for
environmentally sustainable construction.
LEEd certified buildings use resources
more efficiently as opposed to conventional
buildings that are simply constructed to code.

Some Florida utility companies offer an incentive to those
who install reflective roofs. Entegra has two colors that meet
the requirements for incentives — White Slurry and Ultra
White Slurry. Stocked Ultra White Slurry products

In addition to the up-front incentive distributed by
participating Florida utility companies, hundreds of

The tile colors printed in this brochure may
vary from actual available tile colors. Prior
to making a final choice, it is important to
evaluate actual tile samples and completed
roofs. Contact your Sales Representative for
assistance. Tile categories and typographical
errors will be subject to change without prior
notice. There is no performance guarantee
offered or implied beyond that expressly
indicated.
EFFLOrESCENCE: This temporary condition on the surface
of the tile is common in all concrete products. The efflorescence
process is caused by the chemical nature of cement. It can
appear as a chalky white bloom or in concentrated patches
on the tile. We cannot predict how long the effects will last—
it will be dependent upon the type and amount of deposit
on the product, local weather conditions and surroundings.
In most cases, rainwater will steadily remove the deposit,
leaving the original color of the tile unharmed without further
efflorescence. The efflorescence process does not affect the
quality or functionality of the tile.
SCUFF MArKS: Scuff marks are a
temporary surface condition caused by two
pieces of tile rubbing against one another. In no
way is the integrity of your roof compromised,
and weather elements will soon eliminate the
appearance of scuff marks.
VArIABILITY: Some variability between tiles will occur with
our handmade textures. No two tiles will be identical.
COLOr: Tiles are produced as close to
samples as possible. The variability of raw
materials and other factors may cause the
actual colors of the tiles to vary. Concrete roof
tiles go through various stages of efflorescence
which may also result in some color variation.
PALLET PACKAGING
MONOTONE: Single color roofs contain
some level of variation in the hue from one tile
to another. We recommend that blends and/or
antiques be used to help mask the inevitable
variations of monotone roofs. In some cases,
owners of monotone colored roofs elect to have
a tint seal applied to the newly installed tile,
creating a more consistently colored roof.
MAINTENANCE: Since working on roofs can be extremely
dangerous and the risk of injury is high, it is always best to
hire a professional when working on and/or maintaining your
roof. Nearly all building products in the Southeast are subject to
mildew and/or algae growth because of climatic conditions. dirt
and other particles contained in the air collect on the surface of
the roof tile. Morning dew, rain and humidity then provide the
necessary moisture for mildew/algae growth. In most cases, the
use of a pressure washer not exceeding 1,200 PSI will remove
the mildew/algae. After cleaning, most roofing products will
exhibit slight shading variations that may not have been present
prior to cleaning. Exposure to sunlight, shade and rain all create
slight variations in the roof tile color as well as slight texture
differences, depending on the exposure to the elements.
