Bright windmill pieces surrounded by dark fabric will make the windmill center pop. Change the two color block corners into a single fabric and you have a four point star. Your options are endless. Bonus Block I often turn left over half-square triangle pieces into “happy blocks”. The block shown below was made from pieces left over from a baby quilt for my 10th great grandchild. Whirling Pin Wheels Cut 31/8" squares into half-square triangles This block uses 12 Yellow pieces, 4 Green, 4 Blue, 4 Multicolored triangle print, 4 Orange Dot and 4 Orange Check pieces. Block layout designs are endless. Add sashing and borders and you have a quickly sewn baby or friendship quilt. The cheerful bright colors in this block make me smile. Happy Quilting!
