Critical Illness Protection
Financially surviving a serious illness
Critical Illness insurance can pay you a lump sum
benefit at the first diagnosis of certain covered illnesses.
A covered illness is a heart attack, stroke, major organ
transplant, permanent paralysis, end-stage renal failure or
coronary artery bypass surgery (pays a 25% benefit). You
may also select a rider to include a benefit for cancer. All
members age 16 to 69 who currently work are eligible.

Low-cost protection
As an MTA member, you have several group term life
insurance options available so you can choose the
program that best suits your needs at the lowest possible
cost. Advantages include coverage of up to $500,000,
reduced premium rates for non-tobacco users of all ages
and additional rate discounts for individuals age 40 and
over who choose $100,000 or more of coverage.
10- to 30-Year Term Insurance
For coverage, select from 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year
term insurance all with competitive rates. Also available
is Return of Premium Term, which returns all of your
premiums at the end of the term. Our life insurance

for you. Family members are eligible as well.
Permanent Life Insurance
