2016 Brochure - Tetu Island Lodge
We love it here. In fact, we call it our home. That’s because to us, running a premier fishing lodge isn’t just job. It’s a passion to meet new and interesting people, to create long-lasting relationships, and to deliver the most memorable experience for every guest. So please, be our guest. Make yourself at home. And know that we’ll take care of every detail so you can relax in style. It’s how we share our love. What’s more, if you know someone looking to experience the fishing trip of a lifetime, please share the love. Have them download this brochure from our website listed below. And thank you for considering Tetu. We’d love to have you visit. tetuislandlodge.com 2016 The moment you first step onto the island, you know. Tetu is the one. At first it’s because this beautiful property is nestled within the splendor of the Ontario wilderness. But you soon recognize there’s so much more to love here: the service, the pampering, the guides, the camaraderie, the comfort, the fishing, the food—the everything. The entire Tetu experience creates a lasting attraction. It’s an adoration that can only come from one of Ontario’s most prestigious fishing resorts. And it’s a fondness that calls people back year after year. So come, and feel the love. Unparalleled service coupled with unbelievable accommodations. We call it the Tetu Treatment, and it’s all intended to make you feel at home. Like waking up to a fresh pot of coffee waiting for you on your cabin’s private porch. Or how each spacious cabin features modern amenities, like satellite TV on new flat-screens, electric heat, central air, soft beds, Wi-Fi, and many other creature comforts. A short walk to the lodge offers billiards or shuffleboard. This is where all guests gather to relax, bond or enjoy their favorite drink. And at every turn, we’ll be there, answering any requests you may have. Because your comfort and happiness is our mission. As guests start filing in the lodge, a few drinks are shared as stories are tossed around like fishing lures. It’s the opening act to an unforgettable dinner. Our four-course meals start with an amazing appetizer. As you already begin complimenting the chef, we serve fresh salads and made-from-scratch soups that’ll have you begging for the recipes. Then it’s the entrees. Steak and lobster. Mouthwatering chicken. The works. Cap it off with an exquisitely delicious dessert and there’s no doubt you’ll sleep like a baby, only to wake up to an incredible made-to-order breakfast to start your day. Next to our fishing, our food is as world-class as it gets. If you’ve visited our Facebook page, you’ve seen the photos. The monster pikes, jumbo smallies, humungous muskies, and the kind of walleyes you’ve only dreamed of catching. There’s a reason the fish are so big here. We practice catch and release. Sure, we keep enough right-sized walleyes for shore lunch, but we release the big ones to invest in the lake, and in your experience. This conservation has allowed us to produce well over 1,000 Master Angler fish every year. But why take our word for it when a picture speaks a thousand words? Follow us on Facebook and see for yourself. Then plan a trip and capture some memories for yourself. You want to make sure you have the right reels, rods and tackle. That’s just not the case at Tetu. Here, our guides already have every rig and lure you could possibly imagine. And now we have the perfect boats, too. This year we added new 18.5-foot Alumacraft boats with 90 HP Yamaha motors—all custom made for Tetu. These roomy, comfortable crafts feature wide casting decks and are conditioned perfectly for our demanding style of fishing. So just rest that casting arm of yours, and leave the rest to us. We’ve been hosting corporate outings for years. And we’ve perfected them, too. Whether it’s a small or big group, we can customize a trip that’s perfect for you. From team-building activities and fishing contests to special meal and dining arrangements, we’ll handle everything for you. After all, up here, we make it our business to take care of yours. So call today and see why no one does it like Tetu. If you’ve heard about Tetu from someone who’s been here, chances are they mentioned the famous Tetu shore lunch. Simply put, no one does it better. After a morning of exceptional fishing, your guide delivers you to a shore he transforms into a midday oasis. He’ll set up chairs, hand you a cold beverage, and, while you’re swapping fish stories, begin preparing the midday feast: deliciously flaky and tender walleye you caught fresh that morning. A side of beans and crispy potatoes round out this perfect meal to refuel your passion for an afternoon of fishing. FRIENDS AND FAMILY Whenever family or friends come together, it’s a special time. We understand. That’s why we set out to create a quality getaway everyone can enjoy. Whether it’s fishing all day, relaxing on a deck while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake, or playing lawn games, we offer the perfect environment for a meaningful trip. And it doesn’t matter if it’s guys’ weekend or a family reunion; every guest gets the VIP treatment. WHERE IS TETU ISLAND LODGE AND HOW DO I GET THERE? TETU MANAGEMENT When Kathi and Ed Henn purchased Tetu Island Lodge, they were determined to make it a place where people could truly get away and let Tetu handle the details. Nineteen years later, with the help of a highly trained staff, a team of expert guides and a master chef, Tetu is the premier Canadian fishing lodge. Year after year, Kathi and Ed pour their hearts into Tetu — answering the phone, helping in the kitchen and fixing the generator at 3 am. And year after year, Tetu receives sparkling marks across the board for service, food, fishing and more. People are so pleased when they come here, 90% of them come back. As Ed and Kathi always say, “This isn’t our business, it’s our home.” Well, judging from the experience and service you’ll get at Tetu, they’re absolutely right. REAL ESTATE OWNERSHIP Tetu Island Lodge is planning to offer joint ownership cabins. The plan is to begin with two cabins across the boat harbor from the dock area. The joint ownership of luxury cabins on Tetu Island will be associated with the resort, but ultimately is a different experience. This is not ownership of a rental property, but rather the purchase of an asset that can be transferred to future generations. This offering provides a tremendous opportunity to own Canadian lake property at a lower price than buying land and building your own cabin, and without the hassles of maintenance and upkeep. This is a fishing Mecca that will only get better, and gain value thanks to the conservation efforts that have been employed by Tetu Island Lodge for over 19 years. For more information, please contact Ed Henn at 807-224-3487 TETU STAFF The reason so many people return to Tetu isn’t just because of the fish. It’s the people. Our guides are like Sherpas who instinctively put you on the fish. What’s more, they’re also gracious gentlemen who carry your bags, bait your lines, and hand you a refreshing beverage. Then there are the delightful employees behind the scenes; the kitchen staff, housekeeping, the office personnel—all of whom work tirelessly to ensure your stay is worry-free. 2016 AMERICAN PLAN RATES These all-inclusive packages include modern accommodations, fully guided fishing, breakfast and gourmet dining in the lodge, guide-prepared shore lunch, boat, motor, gas, fishing equipment, bait, and soda and bottled water in the boat. 2-3 PEOPLE PER BOAT: 2 DAY/2 NIGHT: 3 DAY/3 NIGHT: 4 DAY/4 NIGHT: 5 DAY/5 NIGHT: 6 DAY/5 NIGHT: $1,603/PERSON $2,404/PERSON $3,206/PERSON $4,007/PERSON $4,809/PERSON 3 NIGHT/2 DAY: 4 NIGHT/3 DAY: 5 NIGHT/4 DAY: 6 NIGHT/5 DAY: 7 NIGHT/6 DAY: $1,807/PERSON $2,672/PERSON $3,473/PERSON $4,275/PERSON $5,076/PERSON (8:00 am arrival, no breakfast) (5:30 pm arrival, dinner & lodging that evening) * Prices do not include taxes, licenses or gratuity * Everything is noted in US Currency OTHER FISHING OPTIONS: Half day fishing with shore lunch: $250, without shore lunch: $200.
