Yubatake ("hot spr ing field")
is a symbol of Kusatsu Onsen.
It has an output of 4,000
Iiter s of hot spring source per
minute. The temperature of
hot springs is quit hot, so
t hat you can see cloud s of
r ising steam. It is a facili ty
to coo l down the hot spri ng

and to ext r act "yunohana", the miner al components of onsen.
Enj oy the scenery t hat can only be seen in Kusat su .
"Yumomi " is a t r aditiona l method, in Kusat su, of coo ling down hot
spr ing wat er to bathi ng temperature w ithout diluting minera l
component s of onsen. It has been t rad itional ly carried out wit h
singing and dancing with local fo lk songs every day.
You can experience it only in Kusat su Onsen.

Bonito stock is used for t he soup, but you can change
it to soy sauce-based soup upon your request.
" Buckwheat t ofu" is hardened by kudzu, so you can

The "Yubatake" hot pot is a soy mi lk soup based
hot pot cooked w it h white mait ake mushroom and
soybeans made in Kusatsu. The Kusatsu tof u salad
mixed with tofu and Yuba (bean- curd sk in) includes
eggs in the dressing, but you may order it w ithout
eggs if you like.

"Maitake tendon set" is a recommended value set which
comes wit h soba noodle and maitake tendon (a bowl of r ice
topped with maitake mushroom tenµira). Maitake mushroom
is locally picked every morning
used for terrpu-a.
You can change t he soba soup to pure soy sauce which
doesn't use bonito stock.
The healthy "Kusatsumi-konnyaku" (paste made from koojak
flour) is also rec:omrended

It is a popular par k for tour ists. The hot spr ing river ru ns in t he park.
As there are hot spr ing source around t he r iver , t he r iver includes
innumerable onsen minerals . Ther efore, no plants can sur v ive and the
sights arou nd ri ve r are covered wit h clouds of rising st eams.
In t he pa r k, there is a large rotenburo (open air bat h) cal led
"Sa inokawara Rot enbu ro".

The f amous tofu dish called "Yuno-hana tofu" is
made from soy milk every morning. You can order
" Vegetarian set meal" which comes w it h vegetable
tempura although it is not on the menu.
English menu is available in t he restaurant.
