"Bensonhurst Blues" – a tough, intense and subtle psychological thriller TV-‐ series of 12 episodes. This story begins with a violent murder of a Russian immigrant, a gorgeous young woman from Brooklyn. The plot resembles a puzzle, last piece of which the viewers do not get un>l the last episodes. An enigma>c "missing link" of complex inves>ga>on jumps on us as unexpectedly as a masked killer with a knife out of darkness. The ini>al impression of the murder appears even more shocking then the wildest S&M show, in which the vic>m par>cipates. Only at the very end it becomes clear how a curved mirror of lies gradually mutated the characters, distorted their affec>ons and values, managing to redraw our percep>ons. ©2012 Permanent Resident Produc4ons. DISTRIBUTOR’S GROSS PROFIT $7.97M EST. DIST. FEES $3.0M NET PROD./INVESTOR INCOME $4.97M There is an ac,ve market for independent mo,on pictures. PERMANENT RESIDENCE Produc, ons believes that BENSONHURST BLUES will be an excep, onally aHrac,ve offering to the movie going public. The quality and uniqueness of the film and the pres,ge of the actors associated with it fits any distributor’s most important criterion: having a product that will aHract a worldwide audience. The mo,on picture industry is highly compe,,ve, with much of a film’s success depending on the skill of its distribu,on strategy. As an independent producer, PERMANENT RESIDENCE Produc, ons intends and expects to nego, ate with a major distributor; however, to maximize it’s bargaining strength, distribu,on agreement nego,a,ons will begin during or aper principal photography. Inasmuch as distribu,on terms are determined in part by the perceived poten,al of a mo,on picture and the rela,ve bargaining strength of the par,es, it is not possible to predict with certainty the nature of the distribu,on arrangements. And while U.S. theatrical distribu,on is s,ll the first choice of any feature-‐length film, the revenue gains in ancillary direct to DVD distribu,on (Ne~lix, Blockbuster, Hollywood Video and etc.) and interna, onal markets alone open result in profit for a low budget film and consequently, a net posi,ve rate of return for investors. ©2012 Permanent Resident Produc4ons.
