ScotMaz Machine Tools have been Sole Scottish Agents
for Yamazaki Mazak for nearly 30 years.
We are unique in the fact that we specialise only in Mazak machines in respect of Sales, Service, Installation, Training
and Parts. This results in no distraction or conflict of interest of any other machine tool agency.
In April, 1999, we moved to our custom built Technology
Centre in Stirling, with Training Room, Conference
Facility and Sales/Service Office.
Following a Management Buyout, the company
ownership changed in June, 2003, and we have gone
from strength-to-strength with approximately 600
machines sold and installed in Scotland. Considerable
reinvestment has been made in the company since 2003,
and it is our continued intention to reinvest to enable
ScotMaz Machine Tools to provide the best possible
package for Sales, Service and Parts for Mazak
machines in Scotland.

Sales
ScotMaz Machine Tools as sole Scottish Agents for
Yamazaki Mazak, are responsible for all Pre and After Sales
activities within Scotland in association with Yamazaki
Mazak, Worcester. Our Agency for Yamazaki Mazak gives
us a working relationship, through representation, with
the largest CNC Machine Tools Company in the world. They
have a current manufacturing capability in excess of 1000
machines per month.
We have sold and installed in excess of 600 machines in Scotland,
ranging from start-up, individual contractors to Blue Chip
Manufacturing Companies with in excess of 30 Mazak machines.
We are the only company who can supply new Mazak CNC
machines in Scotland, and our contacts within the Yamazaki Mazak
Corporation enables us to source quality, used Mazak machines.
With its extensive range of approximately 200 machines, Yamazaki
Mazak are at the leading edge of technology and their machines are
renowned for quality, accuracy and reliability.
We are unique in that with the special relationship we have with our
Customer base and the vast amount of Mazak machines sold
in Scotland, the full range of Mazak machines can be viewed in
Production in under 1 hours travel from your Factory.

Yamazaki Mazak Corporation
Yamazaki Mazak are the largest single company manufacturing machine tools in the
world with 9 manufacturing facilities worldwide with the capability to manufacture over
1000 machines per month. Our relationship with Mazak’s European Manufacturing
Plant in Worcester gives us direct access to Applications, European Engineering
and European Technology Centre. This is not just a machine tool assembly plant,
Yamazaki Mazak pride themselves in being a
complete operation, machining castings, making
their own spindles, turrets, tool magazines and
sheet metal covers. Yamazaki Mazak are committed

Service
Our Service Director leads a team of six Service and
Applications Engineers who have in excess of 100 years
Mazak experience between them.
We only specialise in Mazak machines and all our Engineers have attended training courses at Mazak’s European
Manufacturing Plant, Mitsubishi Germany, Renishaw Ball Bar Testing, and Blue Square Digital Levels. On-going
training is continually provided on new machine models, with visits to Mazak’s Japan Global HQ scheduled for all our
Engineers.
From our central Hub in Stirling, our Engineers operate service vans containing a comprehensive range of test
equipment, fast moving spares, a full range of alignment tools, ball bar testing and digital levels.
Our Service Team are strategically positioned through-out Scotland to enable us to have an Engineer on site at any
one of our 600 installations in under one hour, with full access to the Mazak Japan Service Page on-site through high
specification Laptops with broadband internet facilities.
We provide Service Contracts with 24 hour per day cover, guaranteed 24-hour response by a Mazak trained Service
Engineer and bespoke Service Contracts made specifically for your company needs.
With the experience our Engineers have gained, we have been asked by Yamazaki Mazak to undertake work both in
UK and abroad. We have also undertaken service work worldwide and extensively throughout Europe. Some of the

to the Japanese Service Homepage. Use of this site is
restricted to Mazak personnel only which provides fault
finding and solutions to each machine in the Mazak range
for every scenario and permutation, from basic alarms and
tool change hang ups, to spindle cartridge change and
rebuilds.
We have also invested heavily in relevant equipment over the last few years and

Spare Parts
Yamazaki Mazak have a European Spare Part Distribution
Warehouse in Belgium open 24 hours per day 365 days
per year with next day delivery on over 95% of parts within
the UK.
All Mazak parts for Scotland can only be ordered through ScotMaz and only parts fitted by our Service Engineers
receive warranty from Yamazaki Mazak. Service reports are sent to Yamazaki Mazak and are logged against each
machine on our Company database for complete history and traceability.
Turnkey Package
With our affiliation with Yamazaki Mazak, we work in partnership with Mazak Applications,
European Engineering, Workholding and Tooling companies to provide complete turnkey solutions.
Training
We provide comprehensive Training for Mazak machines both Programming at our Training Suite at Stirling, and
Operator Training at the customers premises. It is our Company policy to tailor make the training packages to suit
the customers requirements. Each Engineer completing a Training course will be given a certificate, which will also
be logged on our Company database.

Database
ScotMaz Machine Tools have invested heavily in a new Bespoke Database, which, on
completion, will provide us with the means to trace all machines, parts, and services
thereby providing a full and complete machine history at the touch of a button.
Our Engineers have been equipped with high specification Laptops with outside
broadband internet facilities allowing them to access the Database on-site, thereby
giving them a complete history of calls and visits to each machine. Every service call received will be logged against the
relevant machine, thereby ensuring our engineers know exactly what help or advice has been given as well as any work that
has been carried out.
All spare parts whether an enquiry or an order will also be logged, again giving a full and complete history on each individual
machine.
We believe that this investment is a unique step forward for ScotMaz Machine Tools.
Refurbishment
ScotMaz have undertaken refurbishment of existing Mazaks from basic essential parts
replaced to full as new total refurbishment and paint to extend the life span of your
existing machine.
Quality Used Mazaks
Our status as Sole Scottish Agent for Yamazaki Mazak, gives ScotMaz Machine
Tools unique access to all Yamazaki Mazak Agents and Dealers World-Wide, giving
us first option of quality used Mazak machines and full service history.
We also consider taking your existing Mazak as part-exchange on new machine
purchases.
Our range of quality 2nd hand Mazaks have enabled several new companies to
start up by ScotMaz renting machine directly to the new company and keeping
their bank borrowings lower.
