Over the last two weeks, events in our country have broken our
hearts as believers. But even with all the wrong that is going on,
God is still on the throne and accomplishing His perfect will and
plan. We have witnessed that first hand here at Philippi.
We have seen the Lord move mightily among our church family
and beyond. While some in our country may riot, our church is in
revival. Fourteen people have been baptized, and many more will
be in the weeks to come. People have joined our church family. Jcrew went on a mission trip,
and the Lord used them to reach many people with the gospel and to bring His hope to hopeless
situations. Vacation Bible School was incredible with many attending and serving. Several people
gave their lives to the Lord. While I write this, we have a team of people doing missionary work
in Nicaragua, and the Lord is moving in hearts and saving souls.
Jesus said, over two thousand years ago, He would build His church and hell itself would
not prevail against it. The darker the world becomes, the more His light will shine. So as Pastor
Robert said the other week, let your light be like a “flame thrower.” I can not wait to see what the
Lord is going to do next!
