Explore Batur Geopark, Bali Trekking, Wildlife, Culture and Landscape Highlight Batur concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung,Bali, Indonesia. The south east side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake. The inner 7.5-­‐kilometer-­‐wide caldera, which was formed during emplacement of the Bali (or Ubud) ignimbrite, has been dated at about 23,670 and 28,500 years ago. The southeast wall of the inner caldera lies beneath Lake Batur; Batur cone has been constructed within the inner caldera to a height above the outer caldera rim. The lake, Danau Batur, is the largest crater lake on the island of Bali and is a good source of fish. On September 20, 2012 UNESCO has made Mount Batur Caldera a part of the Global Geopark Network. DAY 2 KUTA – BATUR GEOPARK MUSEUM -­‐ KINTAMANI Start your day in the early morning after breakfast, going to Batur Geopark Museum about 2 hours drive, then continue to the bottom of Caldera by car and visit several Geosite. We will doing an observation on there with the professional interpreter. After that we can canoeing in Batur Lake (optional). Then we going back to the hotel. v Accommodation: Hotel in Kintamani DAY 3 KUTA – DREAMLAND -­‐ GWK -­‐ ULUWATU After breakfast, continue journey to Dreamland and Garuda Wishnu Kencana, we can see many fossils burried on there, then we continue to Uluwatu to see Pacific sea. Then we going back to the Hotel. v Accommodation: Hotel in Kuta DAY 4 BALI -­‐ JAKARTA Going to Krishna, etc. to bought an oleh-­‐oleh and drive to the Airport for fly back to Jakarta.
