CHAPS
HOW TO FIT CHAPS
Well fitting riding gear is essential for
a comfortable ride, and that includes
how chaps fit. To fit chaps, use the
following guidelines:
A
Usually, the waist and length are adjustable, so chap
sizes are determined mainly by thigh size, that is the
circumference around the thickest part of the thigh.
For the most accurate fit, when trying on chaps you should
wear the jeans and boots you plan to wear while riding.
Chaps fit best over snug fitting jeans. To reduce gaps,
bunching or pinching, chaps should also fit somewhat snug.
They should not be loose or baggy in the thigh area,
but still be comfortable and allow for easy movement.

WATERPROOF TEXTILE FABRIC
Lightweight, waterproof, windproof, abrasion-resistant and
tear-resistant high denier nylon is combined with a Cocona®
Natural Technology™ membrane to create a 100% waterproof
jacket that’s breathable and durable.

SUPERFABRIC® BRAND MATERIALS
SuperFabric® brand materials use a technology that bonds
micro-armour to fabric for exceptional performance, protection
and comfort. When placed in key impact areas like the elbows
and shoulders, SuperFabric® brand materials provide up to
10 times greater abrasion resistance.
WATERPROOF LEATHER
Saturated completely with a water repellent treatment and with
the addition of the Cocona® Natural Technology™ membrane, the
FXRG® leather jackets are fully waterproof to keep the elements
out without needing a change into separate rain gear.
WATERPROOF ZIPPERED VENTS
When the ride gets a little too warm, get a continual burst of
cool air by unzipping the front and back vents. Waterproof
zippers keep you dry when extra cooling isn’t needed.

like the elbows and shoulders, CE-approved body armour
provides added protection when needed most.

COCONA® NATURAL TECHNOLOGY™ MESH LINING
Naturally derived from coconut shells and other active
particles, when used as the mesh lining, Cocona® fabrics
are extremely breathable providing exceptional evaporative
cooling and odour resistance. Unlike topical treatments,
Cocona® technology is embedded into the fibres of a fabric
so it will not wear out or wash off.
EXTERIOR POCKET SYSTEM
Keep everything in its place with a new front pocket system
on select styles. Unzip the large waterproof front panels to
reveal plenty of pockets for exceptional storage options.

Well fitting riding gear is
essential for a comfortable ride,
and that includes how chaps fit.
To fit chaps, use the following
guidelines:
Usually, the waist and length are adjustable,
so chap sizes are determined mainly by
thigh size, that is the circumference around
the thickest part of the thigh. For the most
accurate fit, when trying on chaps you should
wear the jeans and boots you plan to wear
while riding. Chaps fit best over snug fitting
jeans. To reduce gaps, bunching or pinching,
chaps should also fit somewhat snug.
They should not be loose or baggy in the thigh
area, but still be comfortable and allow for
easy movement.

WATERPROOF LEATHER
Saturated completely with a water repellent treatment and with

Moisture management is the first step in
creating a total system, and one many riders
skip. Performance fabrics are designed to
wic k moisture away from the body so that it
can evaporate quickly – something cotton
tees can't do. Wicking fabrics keep your skin
dry, which is important in maintaining a
consistent body temperature.
The Mid-Layer helps insulate the body to
retain heat by trapping air next to the skin.
In cold weather, this layer keeps the body
warm so that less energy is wasted on body
temperature control and more energy can
be spent focusing on the ride. Mid-Layers are
designed to fit snugly to the body for the best
heat management.
The Outer Layer helps to further maintain
a consistent body temperature and protect
the rider from the elements. With options in
mesh, nylon and polyester, the rider can add
the right outer layer for the riding conditions
that day. The outer layer should be roomy
enough to fit easily over the other layers, and
should not restrict any movement.
The Rider Comfort System (RCS) is designed to be a three part system consisting
of a base layer for moisture management, a mid-layer for extra insulation and an
outer layer for protection. When complete, all three layers combine to provide
a total Rider Comfort System.
