4 pg .SADDLE BROCHURE - print in landscape
Caliente / Liberty: A contemporary design, featuring a
deep seat pocket for lower back support great for the all
day ride. Saddle has a narrow to moderate twist that
allows riding without getting fatigued in the knees and
hips. Free flowing smooth fenders eliminate excruciating
knee pain and feet falling asleep. The horn is one you can
use and yet low enough where you will not easily get
impaled. The difference between the two models is that
the Caliente has upper thigh blocking. These formed foam
rolls are more forgiving than the hard wooden swells of a
traditional tree if your mount makes sudden and
unexpected moves. Weight: ~ 23, 24 & 26 lbs. Leather skirt
length: 25, 26 & 27 inches. Encased panels will shorten your
length by 2 inches. Bar length: 20, 21 & 22 for 15, 16 & 17
seat. Fork: Slick – 3 1/2" high and 8" wide at base (total height
to top of horn measured from base seat is 6 inches) Horn: 2"
High and Cap 2 3/8 inches. Cantle: measured from inside the
seat 4 1/2" high (varies with seat padding) and 13" wide with
straight cantle binding. Height measured at back of cantle is 4
inches. Fenders: Round tear drop 8" wide, nylon enforced,

this saddle comfortable for the all day ride and perfect for
not over-powering a small rider. The Breakout will have a
suede seat and jockeys with extra ½ inch padding just
under sit bones and choice of either encased or leather
contoured skirts. The working trail has semi-square leather

Dressage: / Pleasure Plantation: Contemporary
yet conservative, this timeless saddle is so well
balanced it not only makes a wonderful show
saddle but an outstanding trail saddle. The
secure padded soft-seat uses both upholstery and
neoprene foams which are hand skived and
shaped to be anatomically correct, allowing a
deep seat pocket with a flat spot enabling the
rider to give proper aids to the horse. The
supportive cantle offers lower back support and
the narrow to moderate twist with a moderate rise
to the seat makes this the go to saddle for
dressage or pleasure. The Dressage: Has an inflap pocket so that you can adjust or remove the
knee blocking and it will not come with extra
hardware unless requested. The Plantation is a
favorite trail saddle for it’s comfort, super security
with both front and rear thigh blocking and #1
choice for gaited horse owners. Super saddle for
weekend trail events and dressage lessons during
the week. Weight: ~ 18, 19 and 20 lbs. Bar Length:

Dressage / Cutback Saddle above
Jumping Cross Trainer / Classic Cutback
This classic, low profile saddle has security second to
none. The incredible soft seat has a gentle curve and
the cut-back pommel frees the rider, for jumping,
dressage, endurance, equitation and cross country field
trials. The pommel allows the rider to get low and far
forward on the when scrambling up hill and brace
comfortably against the soft thigh rolls on the down hill.
This saddle allows you to have a more "leg-under" in the
roughest going, due to close contact and centered seat
of this outstanding saddle. Endurance riders, trainers
and Dressage riders love this saddle as it sits and rides
like a dream - you are part of the horse, thus many use
this saddle for teaching proper seat position and for
rider comfort. This is the perfect all-purpose combined
training saddle. The Cutback will have full upper thigh
and knee blocking as the Jumping Cross Trainer will
have the in-flap front and rear pockets for the sets of
adjustable / removable blocking. Weight: ~18, 19, 20 & 21
lbs. Bar Length:19, 20, 21 & 22 inch for 16.5 to 19.5 inch
seat. Cantle: 10" wide and 2 3/4" high measured from seat,
measured at back of cantle is 2 inches.
The Express / Officer / Freedom / Western
Endurance: Using the same versatile tree, we a re able
to deliver 4 outstanding saddles. All have a moderate to
low rise allowing the rider more room to move in the
saddle while still offering a great pocket to sit back in.
The smooth rounded fork provides a perfect handhold,
the ultimate in additional security. The seat is
anatomically shaped for support and hand skived for
comfort. All 4 saddles are great for endurance riders,
trainers, trail riders and anyone who enjoys a western
The Express / Officer / Freedom / Western Endurance
saddle but is tired of lugging around the extra weight. The
difference between the models is in the flaps and blocking.
The Express provides a secure ride, with 2-inch soft, plush
upper thigh and knee blocking, great for the unexpected
shy and working young stock, giving the rider a long secure
leg. The Officer has a flap design with both front and rear
thigh blocking for the best in security while allowing the
rider to keep a bended knee. The Freedom has a flap with
upper thigh blocking that frees up the riders leg while still
offering security for that unexpected shy, super for
experienced and distance riders. The Western Endurance
is built for action, speed and function, with nothing in the
way to bind the riders leg. Great for the western or distance
riders seeking an exceptionally light weight yet supportive
western saddle without the saddle horn. Weight: 19, 20 and
21 lbs. Panel length: 22.7, 23.77 and 24.77 inches. All designed
for up to a 3-inch scapula overlap. Bar length: 20, 21 and 22
inches on 15, 16 & 17 inch seat. Fork: Slick – 3 inches high
measured from base seat. Cantle: 3.5" tall and 12 inches wide.

Battery / Captain:
This is a modern replica of the original McClellan
saddle used by the US Civil War horse-drawn
artillery units. The original McClellan saddle was
developed for men during the 1800's who
averaged in height of 5.5 to 5.7 and weighed 116
to 123 lbs., and rode horses that were extremely
narrow with razor withers. We know exactly how
this original equipment can hurt a horse and
cause him to perform badly. This modern day
McClellan saddle has two important distinctions
from the original: It’s comfortable for you and
won’t hurt your horse. The narrow to moderate
twist with a low rise, dished cantle and slight seat
pocket make this saddle extremely comfortable
for long hours of riding at any gait or speed. The
Captain version has the best of two saddles put
together, the security of the Officer with front and
rear leg blocking and the seat of the Battery.
Weight: 19, 20 and 21 lbs. Bar length: 20, 21 and 22
for 15, 16 and 17 inch seats Fork: Slick and 4 inches
high, measured from base seat. Cantle: 5 inches tall
and 11.5 inches wide. Height measured at back of
cantle is 3 inches. The Battery: Fenders: Slide
fenders. Embossments: US on seat flap Hardware:
Traditional brass.
