PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project consisted of the addition of a new Learning
Center as well as renovations to the existing preschool for
special education students of the Franziska Racker Centers.
The 5,258 SF addition for training space and offices
will allow the Learning Center to offer unique training
opportunities for staff, families and community
professionals. A 3,138 SF addition for classrooms was
also added to the reconfigured and renovated preschool.
Renovations to the preschool included complete asbestos
abatement, a new heating and cooling system to replace
the older radiant heating system and expanded space to
house the agency’s community based programs including the
Family Resource and Service Coordination programs.
Overall site improvements consisted of additional parking,
drainage and landscaping.
