Legend of our Lampposts The Chef ’s Corner
Let’s shed some light on the subject
“One man’s junk is another man’s treasure” is certainly true as you look all around our community and
see our historical lampposts. Here’s how we acquired these gems: In the early 1960’s, Bill Kay
found hundreds of original Philadelphia gas lanterns
piled up in an old garage. Knowing they would add to
the charm and elegance of our community Mr. Kay
bought all 150 of them!
Our treasured lampposts have become our community symbol and proudly serve as our logo.

Toni Roni’s pizzeria is one of my favorites. They have many
locations in the Philadelphia metro area and the food is always
amazing. Please be sure to try their Chicken Italiano. The
chicken is deliciously tender and is surrounded with the perfect
combination of spinach, sharp provolone and roasted peppers.
Guaranteed heaven.
