OPERATIONS POLICIES & GENERAL INFORMATION
LAB LOCATION AND HOURS
COD
Many of our customers prefer to pay for their
orders when they pick them up at the lab.
Company checks will be accepted. Returned
checks will be charged a $25.00 N.S.F. fee.
Accounts will be placed on a cash only basis.
If orders are shipped (UPS shipment) an
additional COD fee of $11.00 will be
charged. No COD available for U.S. Postal
services.

The lab is open 5 days a week, Monday –
Friday. Our hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00
PM.
We are closed on all major Holidays and
Weekends. Please remember “in-lab”
service times do not include these days.
ALL SALES FINAL
All Sales are Final, although every effort will
be made to insure customer satisfaction. If a
mutual agreemet cannot be arrived at we will
ONLY issue a lab credit. No money will be
refunded.
We can not be held accountable for any
errors that are non-lab related, including but
not limited to studio color corrected files,
grammatical errors, etc.

Customers may send cash with orders, or we can
keep a Credit Card on File toward future
purchases.
All shipments delivered in the State of Ohio
will be charged sales tax unless a tax exempt
form is on file with the lab, before the invoice
is created.

For your convenience, we accept Discover, MC,
Visa or Debit Cards. Please indicate your card
number, expiration date, name (as it appears on
the card and 3 digit number on back of card), and
the type of card.

REMAKES
SERVICES NOT LISTED
We will make every effort to insure your orders are
correct. Should a remake be necessary; it is essential
that you return the prints in the condition they were
received. DO NOT fold, mark or damage the print
in any way. Return them in the original work order
bag along with the glassine and/or cropping mask
and provide clear instructions as to the reason for the
remake. Remakes must be returned to us within 30
days. Remakes will receive priority handling to
insure rapid completion and return.
For services, prices or quantities not listed,
please call the lab. Print sizes not covered by
our regular price list will be billed at the next
larger print price.
SERVICE
Every effort is made to maintain service
schedules.
However, there are a few
occasions when they cannot be met. When
setting delivery dates with your customers,
we suggest that you incorporate some safety
factor in your commitments.
PAPER SURFACE
All Color and Black & White prints are printed
On “E” surface paper.
COPYRIGHT
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Completed orders will be returned by UPS or
U.S. Postal Service. Free shipping over $100.00
If not a $7.00 shipping fee will be added to
Invoiced orders shipped to a commercial site. If
shipping to a residence, actual UPS charges will
apply. Drop ship to your customer a flat fee of
$10.00 will apply.
Folders, etc. will be billed actual shipping costs.

copyright laws. We will not copy or reproduce
photographs that are copyrighted or bear a studio
name without written consent of the photographer
or studio.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY
As skilled professionals, all of us at T.P.I. pledge
to take every available precaution to minimize
the possibility of damaged or lost film, print,
slide, negative or file that a customer submits to
us. However, your submission of any film, print,
slide, negative or file to us, or any subsidiary
company for processing, printing, or handling
constitutes an AGREEMENT by you that in the
event of any damage or loss, regardless of cause,
our liability shall be limited to the replacement
of the same with an equal amount of unexposed
film and processing.
Except for such
replacement, the acceptance of any film, print,
slide, negative or file by T.P.I. Photo Lab, Inc. is
without any other warranty or liability, and
recovery for any incidental or consequential
damages is excluded.

Our digital proof books make is safe and
simple to exhibit your images to customers.

are the infinite possibilities you the

unleash your creativity with programs like
Adobe Photoshop and what you most desire is
a quick turn around from images on your
screen to prints in your hand. To accomplish
this, we offer R.O.E.S. our amazingly simple
program that lets you send your digital files
over the internet to our server.

We offer a 30% discount on STUDIO SAMPLE
PRINTS (11x14 or larger) from your negatives
or files from January 1 thru April 15. All other
associated art and mounting charges will be
billed at normal catalog prices.

FILM PROCESSING
Our expert film processing is accomplished in strict accordance with Kodak
Standards and is carefully monitored throughout the day with the uses of test strips and
periodic chemical analysis. Film is processed within hours of receipt and is analyzed for
correct exposure. If the exposure does not fall within acceptable limits, you will be
contacted immediately. Most film is returned sleeved.

This service is designed for photographers who prefer to use film to capture their images but
want to have the flexibility of Digital Images from that point on.
We offer 4-OPTIONS: (A)-SCAN film CREATE CD; (B)-SCAN film PRINT proofs
CREATE CD Digital Contact Sheet; (C)-SCAN film CREATE CD and Digital Contact
Sheet, (D)-SCAN film PRINT proofs CREATE CD. You may choose one option or as
many as you need. Studio’s copyright and digital file ID is printed on back of proofs.
You will receive your film sleeved on a roll, a CD, Proofs, and Digital Contact Sheet(s) per
roll.

PRE-TOUCH RETOUCHING
PRE TOUCH … TPI is offering an automated blemish only retouch for the affordable
price of $2.10 per image. This is a new proven way to increase your sales. Throughout
the country, photographers who have been ordering their images with pre-touching have
seen increases from 12 to 24 percent on their sales. Call us for more Details
In years past the costly price of retouching has burdened us all. Although most of us are
now shooting digital capture, there is still all the time we spend behind the computer
making our images look as pristine as possible. Some of us don’t mind it; others find it to
be a burden. Plus for the photographers that do not have the time to do the retouching
themselves, they often find themselves paying an employee to sit behind the computer
and retouch all the images for them and that can also get very costly. What if you could
get your retouching done and also increase your sales at a very affordable price. What if
you didn’t have to sit behind the computer when you could be behind the camera or
marketing your studio to bring in more revenue?
Well, after saying all this, TPI Photo Lab is proud to start offering PRE-TOUCHING.
When you send us your files or film for proofing, TPI is offering an automated blemish
only retouch for the affordable price of $1.99 per image. This is not a new trend to the
industry, but a proven way to increase your sales. Throughout the country, photographers
who have been ordering their images with pre-touching have seen increases from 12 to 24
percent on their sales. Plus, since most seniors are not filled with pimples and blemishes,
the face looks very clean and most customers do not ask for further retouching which will
raise your profits even more without having to pay for additional retouching and increase
your folio sales where you can use your proofs.
Pre-Touching will remove up to 95% of the pimples and blemishes that cover
your customers face. It does not include bags under eyes, shine on the face, glass glare or
stray hairs. If requested, additional retouching is available thru TPI Photo Lab when you
return your images to us for further ordering. Please contact either Gene or Dennis for
more information regarding this service. Please take a good look at the samples enclosed,
these were run thru the Pre-Touching service without any additional work done to the
image. All images must be batched together for this service price. Service is only
available on proofing. Price does not include proof.

REMOTE ORDER ENTRY SYSTEM
Using our ROES System or FTP service, sending your files via the Internet makes our lab
as close as next door to your Studio. Orders are normally shipped within 48 Hours .
Orders submitted are LAB COLOR CORRECTED (Please use SRGB Profiles). If the Studio is
color balanced to our printers and we can open and print (no color correction) you can see NCC
prices in our ROES category. Up to date print sizes can be found in the ROES Program Online.

DIE-CUT WALLETS
All wallets will be die-cut at no additional charge. Please specify die-cut on work
order bag.
CAUTION: Almost 1/8” is cut from each side of the wallets during die cutting. Do not
order if important parts of the photograph, such as head, ears, hands, etc, are near any edge
of the print. If die-cut is not specified wallets will be returned in units.

Ordering Software System for the Wedding-Portrait Photographer
Using Digital Studio LP assists the photographer in organizing his files, putting them in
categories (such as pre-ceremony, ceremony, reception, etc.) and eliminates the files you do
not want the customer to see.
This allows the photographer to create his own templates for Flush or Coffee Table Books.
These template designs can then be saved to use again and again for all of your portrait
photography including Seniors and Families. And the most important OUR lab can COLOR
CORRECT EACH individual IMAGE ON THE PAGE.

FINISHING SERVICES
LAQUER SPRAYING
Available in Luster. When large quantities are sprayed at one time, you can deduct 50%
off prices quoted
PRINT MOUNTING
Prints are mounted on acid free Art Board, Foam core, or Masonite when using canvas.
Triple weight is used on 11 x 14 larger. Normally on 24 x 30 or larger we recommend
the use of Foam Core because it is not affected by humidity conditions that can cause
warping in products such as art board.
CANVAS MOUNTING
First your prints are stripped from the RC backing of the paper then pressured mounted to
an artists canvas for a truly rich look, then pressure adhered to Masonite that has wrapped
edges for maximum stability. With all canvas mounted prints we highly recommend a
finish coat of spray to seal and protect prints. Please don’t confuse this product with the
lower end product called canvas board. We cannot be responsible for differences in
canvas materials.

Special Events packages are quick and offer flexibility of packages
designed by you, at the time of film processing. These are events in
which every frame is exposed at the same lighting conditions. They are
analyzed for average color and density.
If inconsistent lighting occurs, delays will result in completing your order in
the time specified because we will still attempt to provide an acceptable print.
But due to the increased amount of extra labor involved a $5.00 charge will
be added for each job. When duplicate poses are shot throughout the job
there will be a $3.50 editing charge.
Prices are based on 20 or more negatives or files per order. A $10.00 setup
fee will apply to orders with less than 20 exposures or files.

In the past Restoration and Print Enhancement were accomplished thru air brushing,
penciling, and spraying. What once was difficult or near impossible, is now practical,…
such as combining elements from different images, changing heads from one pose of a
group shot to another, completely changing background, or adding special effects to an
image or part of an image. We can also add color to black and white photographs, create
Sepia tone and Monochrome prints. These are only a few of the applications that are
possible.

MEMORYMATE PACKAGES
Team Package printing is for group activities such as sports teams, little leagues, dance
schools, nursery schools, etc.
Editing for best Group Picture is available at no charge. (We cannot be responsible if
you do not agree with our choice) Minimal dust spotting is included…All orders must
include our run sheet. Please send one of your order forms with your film and order
sheet so we may verity the correct packages and avoid mistakes that could delay the
production of your order. We cannot start your job if the run sheets are not included with
your order.
We also offer Individual Packaging of your MM orders for a cost of $0.50 per file. Price
includes poly bag or window envelope. (Note: If prints are to go into folders add the cost
of the folder.)
We have developed a Full Color MM Flyer to increase your sales. Cost is $0.16 each
with your pricing or $0.13 each without your pricing. We can do envelopes at $0.27 each
CUSTOM CUT-OUTS
We offer several cut-outs to help increase your sales. The Jumbo Statuette is printed as
an 8x10” then mounted on very dense acrylic and cut. It is inserted onto a 3x5” solid
walnut base with a gold figure that corresponds to each sport or activity. An engraved
plate is offered to your customer to add personalization to the statuette. When shooting
statuettes, photograph the subject full length. The finished product looks more attractive
if you try to keep items like batons, bats, fingers, etc. in front of the subject. Items such
as these become very unattractive when the background is cut away and these items such
as batons become weak and are easily broken. Cut-Out Magnets are great sellers for
mom’s refrigerator or school lockers. A 4x5” print is mounted to very dense acrylic then
cut and mounted to magnets. Team Cut-Outs make great gifts for coaches, managers, etc.
Team prints are mounted to acrylic then cut and placed on a wood base.

Consistent lighting should be used for best results. Be careful not to shoot groups or

Romanco Custom
The Infinia, Empire & Empire Pro are CUSTOM panoramic, flush mount albums made to highlight
your creations. Each album is handcrafted to meet your specific needs for your clients. With different
colors and sizes, these albums will artfully showcase your work and increase your studio sales.
Your photos are coated to protect them from liquid and scratches. They are then mounted on archival
quality board with no crease in the center for a flawless spread. Your design can include individual
pages made into two page spreads. Paper choices include luster or metallic surface paper. (Additional
Charge of $4.00 per Spread for Metallic Paper). Metallic paper will not be coated as this interferes with
the metallic sheen of the paper.
They are handmade with reinforced and rounded spines which create the least amount of
stress on the individual pages. This special treatment lengthens the life of the album.
Each page is rounded to enhance the look and to keep the corners from fraying.
Each page to open flat. Panoramic spreads are folded individually by a custom designed
machine to compensate for any shifts in printing and variance in paper thickness.
Our unique drying process keeps the albums under pressure for forty eight hours with
optimum temperatures and moisture control to help ensure that each album will keep its
original form after many years of use.

WHO IS GOING TO COLOR CORRECT FILES?
To make your album really stand out, we recommend your files should be color corrected. If
you are using your own design software we can only do a global correction on your files. We
recommend color correcting your files and returning them before you create your album.
Color correction is only $0.18 per file. That way the images thru out the album will
match closely in color and density.
WHO IS GOING TO DESIGN?
Decide who is going to design your album. You or the Lab. We currently use Lab Prints as our
digital album layout tool if we design the album for you. ROES software is also available
through TPI. For your own copy, please call us for more information.
PLANNING
Organize your photos. Create several folders titled with different stages of the event. Your
folders may look something like this: Arrival - Dressing - Church - Ceremony - Formals
- Reception - First Dance - Cutting the cake - Toast - Departure.
You should have a good balance of photos in each folder. If you are allowing the couple to
choose, you should explain the concept and coach them accordingly. There should also be a
folder for background images. These could include close ups of the stained glass, the bodice,
the bouquet, table setting etc.
LAYOUT
Depending on the layouts, choose about 4 or 10 images per spread. This allows for single
Panoramic prints and collages. An album with 16 spreads would take about 70 images. The
more images you include, the busier your layouts will be. If you design and send us the
layouts, we prefer the files in .jpg or.tiff.

& Portrait Photographers. Using our 20+ Years of experience as a Professional Lab, we can now offer
Online E-Commerce that fits into the workflow of our Professional Photographer clients.
As a ROES Lab we can offer a solution to our customers with minimal up front investment and at a
price that allows you to make a profit.

Services Include:
Create events and place them online, film, digital, or both. Digital camera photographers upload
camera files directly to our site via the ROES upload interface. Photographers that shoot with
film, use the same workflow we currently employ. You send the film to us for processing we scan
the film and upload the images directly to the Our Photo Event.com server. We archive high
resolution images for reorder fulfillment.
Once an order is posted, the Photographer can sort, edit, and activate their events individually.
Then, using ROES, you can download all customer orders from posted events directly from our
site (Our Photo Event.com server) and into our ROES client software for us to print for you.
Our site (via the Our Photo Event.com server) will automatically notify you when the event is about
to expire and give you the option of extending the posting time.
You will also have available a unique online business card printing feature that you can print out
at your studio. Your online events posting and access information will encourage guests to view
and purchase images online, or we can print them on photo paper for you.
