The Mayor of the City of Bydgoszcz
A word from the Chairperson of the
Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency
The Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency is the effect of a consistent investment
and entrepreneurship support policy realised by the City of Bydgoszcz. We continue the
activities which were previously carried out by the Investor Service and Enterprise Office of
the City of Bydgoszcz. As an independent office we are able to improve the effectiveness
and increase the flexibility of our activities related to providing a comprehensive service
for all investment projects realised in the City. Investors in Bydgoszcz are our partners
and have our support in all possible areas. We recognise the value of investing in the
City and companies interested in investments are our priority.

Investment Attractiveness
Bydgoszcz is located in a triangle between Warsaw, Poznań and the TriCity providing an excellent location for the development on the warehouse
and logistics market. The central location allows for excellent connection
with the sea ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia and large economic centres like
Berlin or Wrocław.
The City can be proud of a very well developed production sector which
plays a dominant role in the regional export. Investment advantages of
the City have been recognised by such companies as Unilever, Tyco
Electronics, Alcatel-Lucent, Neupack or SPX Flow Technology which are
just a few examples from among the many manufacturing companies
operating in Bydgoszcz. The City is also valued by Polish entrepreneurs, for
example by the leader in the production of railway rolling stock - PESA S.A.
The development of the production sector, which generates a demand
for warehouse and logistic services, is closely linked to the availability of
staff. Every year, nearly 12,500 students graduate from the Bydgoszcz
universities in the leading specialisations in engineering, logistics,
construction, computer science and foreign languages.

economic promotion of the City as well as providing investment and postinvestment services.
The unemployment rate in Bydgoszcz is the lowest in the region (7,5%) and
more than one million inhabitants living within a radius of 50km from the

Bydgoszcz is becoming more and more visible on the national map of warehouse-logistics services, providing favourable
conditions for the location of further investment projects. This allows companies to build a competitive advantage based not
only on economic aspects such as price, but also on the quality of the services offered. The City offers attractive conditions

Panattoni Europe
Bydgoszcz is one of the largest cities in Poland, one
of the top ten in terms of population. Bydgoszcz
is increasingly active economically with an aboveaverage level of entrepreneurship. Due to the presence
of important foreign and domestic investors in the
region, a number of investments in infrastructure and
a very active Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, the
region has been significantly gaining in attractiveness
in the sector of industrial facilities of production and
warehouse use. This is confirmed by investment plans
of Panattoni Europe which is to build a logistics centre
in the City as well as an increasing interest from new
investors.

For owners and occupiers of logistics real estate,
Bydgoszcz is a market of huge potential for growth. In the
City which is currently a diversified industrial and service
centre, a number of domestic and foreign companies
chose to locate their headquarters. Due to numerous
technical and economic universities Bydgoszcz offers
access to specialised and well-qualified staff who
generate relatively low labour costs. Very successful
is also the operation of the Bydgoszcz Industrial and
Technological Park which occupies an area of nearly
300 hectares which is fully included in the Local Land
Development Scheme. What is important, the Park
gives investors an opportunity to purchase or lease the
land armed with modern infrastructure, well suited to
their needs. Well-prepared land, favourable economic
climate, skilled staff in the Park, as well as in the City
administration offices allow to start an investment quickly
and realise it safely. A part of the Park also operates within
the Pomeranian Economic Zone, allowing entrepreneurs
to benefit from significant tax reliefs. Additionally, a
planned construction of S5 express road which will link
Bydgoszcz with Poznań may considerably enhance the
opportunities to develop on the industrial-warehouse
market in Bydgoszcz. It will become a future express
connection between the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and the
Lower Silesia Voivodeships.
