Math Classes
Children use their brains rather than their
fingers to learn the math facts.
The math facts are the foundation for
most all future math skills.
Children can learn the math facts the
efficient way and stop relying on counting.
The senses of sight, hearing, and touch
plus rhythm and rhyme are used to help
create associations to the addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. Your child
will learn the concept and memorization of
the math facts. Children become empowered when they realize that they can memorize the math facts and no longer need to
count to get the answers. Your child will
bring home a certificate of completion & a
binder with activities for reinforcement at
home. With a maximum of 8 students per
class, all students will have individualized
attention. Please bring a $50 materials fee,
payable to Ways That Work, on the first
day of class. If one class is full at the location please contact the other CSD as often
they will have registration space available.

Futsal “Soccer
Training” Program
(Ages 7-13) COED
Looking to improve foot skills? An indoor
Futsal Court once a week will do that and
more! Anyone who has watched futsal
players fight to keep the ball from crossing
the touch line will begin to see how futsal
develops skill, control, and technique.
A small field with lines creates constant
pressured situations: 1) From other players and 2) From out-of-play boundaries. Players must learn to settle the ball
rapidly, cut sharply, shield effectively,
pass quickly and move into open space.
During this 10 week program, the focus
will be on technical development, balance
over the ball, and having fun mastering
some fundamentals of soccer. Each session will be divided into an opening clinic
followed by MATCH PLAY. During the skill
development piece, players will be introduced to different levels of footwork while
learning proper passing, receiving, and
dribbling techniques. As the players settle
and warm to the characteristics of futsal,
they will then participate in organized
competitive play to finish the session.
Players will need to wear shin guards,
sportswear, non-marking tennis shoes and
bring water. This Futsal Training Program
is split into two (5) session courses with
a discount to PSC and those committing
to all 10 sessions straight away. Instructor
Stephen Beck is USSF D licensed with
15+ years of coaching and playing experience.

Sensational
Singing Seniors
Monday, December 10 at 1PM
The Sensational Singing Seniors began in
January of 2010 as an activity at the Placerville
Senior Center. Not a singalong, the group
prepares two themed programs for the El
Dorado County Senior Community each year.
Past programs have included Remembering
Judy Garland!, The Music Of Rodgers And
Hammerstein, A Musical Travelogue and The
Nifty Fifties! among others. The members of the
group range in age from the early 60s to 89!!
The group performs regularly at the Placerville
and El Dorado Hills Senior Centers and the
Gold Country Retirement Complex.
The program is titled SEASONS OF LOVE
and it will be a beautiful program!! It honors the
four seasons of love in our lives … courtship/
marriage, children/grandchildren, friendships
and self love/self-confidence through musical selections from Broadway and The Great
American Songbook. While it is not a Holiday
or Christmas presentation it will lend itself well
to the feeling, spirit and meaning of this special
time of year. There will be group songs, solos,
small ensembles, and duets contributing to a
truly heartfelt and enjoyable afternoon. Light
refreshments will be served.

We have 2 types of print competitions, One occurs 3 times a year in

multiple categories and is not affiliated with the club judge. It is the entire
meeting and a good way for people to

judge critiques the entries in front of
the audience. It is open to anyone but
there is a small entry fee. The other
is the Monthly Challenge which happens 7 times a year, January, March,
