Conference Information
The 11th Biennial Conference of the Caribbean and International Social Work Educators will
commence on Monday July 8th at 8:00 am at the World Trade Center in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The conference is expected to unite Social Work Educators, Social Development and Human
Development Practitioners, Researchers and Students from several countries namely Canada, United
States of America, (Latin) Caribbean, Latin (South and Central) America, The United Kingdom, Africa,
Europe and last but not least the islands of the former Netherlands Antilles.
Discussions on social, economic and other issues will engage their attention for the next 5 days
under the theme “Continuing Sustainable Social Transformation” - Promoting Innovative Social
Development Praxis in the Caribbean and Latin America”.
This flamboyant event will enable participants to exchange country specific issues and experiences
relevant to Social Work, Social Development Human Development, and would provide a climate
where best practices can be adopted and a collective approach undertaken for the development of a
global agenda for the profession.
