SCNCA Elite District Road Race Championships

Registration:
Held under USA Cycling permit. Register online at www.
USACycling.org. Online pre-registration closes at 10:00 pm on March 20th. Race-day
entry; add $10.00. Race-day registration opens at 6:30 am and closes 10 minutes
before each race. Minors: Parent or Guardian must be present. Guardians must have
a notarized guardianship papers. One-day license: Men 5 & Women 4 only. Annual
USA Cycling licenses are available on race day. A signed USA Cycling Rider Release
Form will be required on race-day. Rain or shine no refunds.

State championships are open to anyone who has a current USAC license and are
either US citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. Only those that have the SCNCA
listed on their USAC license can win the title. The SCNCA will allow both men and
women from the Continental pro teams to race (however they will be ineligible for the
title, jersey, and medals.)
Directions:
Castaic Lake is located approximately 50 miles north of Los
Angeles. From the I-5 take the Lake Hughes Rd exit east toward Castaic Lake and
continue on Lake Hughes Rd past Castaic Rd and Ridge Route Rd up the hill to Lake
Hills Community Church. Make a right into the church parking lot.
Castaic Lake is a wonderful family location, with picnic areas, and beach fun.

Parking:
Park at Lake Hills Community Church. Additional parking is available
on Lake Hughes Road. Please pay attention to the posted signs and park entirely
off the paved road. Also, please note the Angeles National Forest monument sign is
located approximately 200 meters north of the church. Any cars parked beyond the
monument sign will require an Adventure Pass

Course:
Promenade from the parking lot to the start/finish line. Challenging 27.5
mile “out and back” loop with approximately 2,850 ft. of climbing per lap.
Feed Zone:
Will be located near the start/finish area on the south bound side
of Lake Hughes only. No vehicle parking will be permitted in the feed area. Drop off
only.
Rules:
All USAC rules apply. Helmets are mandatory whenever you are on a
bicycle. No warming up on the course. Course is open to traffic. Centerline rule will
be strictly enforced. No personal follow vehicles permitted. Wheel support provided
for championship events only; wheels in/wheels out.
Please note,
the entire course will be raced through the Angeles National
Forest and our use of the roads is a privilege. Do not throw out water bottles, gel or
bar wrappers, or discard any items on the course.
Prizes:
Prizes are 100% cash or medals to places listed. Prizes may be claimed
at the prize booth once results are official. You must have you race number to claim
your prize.
