The Woods story is really several
stories. It’s Woods’ history, plus
the histories of the companies
that have become part of Woods
over the years: Du-AL™, Alloway,
Gill, Beetec, BMP™, Alitec™,
Central Fabricators®, Gannon®,
Wain-Roy® and TISCO®. These
leading brands include dozens of
patents, hundreds of products, and
thousands of parts with Woods’
reputation for durability, reliability
and quality.
September 1993
Woods Equipment
Company expanded
to include Du-AL, a
manufacturer of tractormounted front-end
loaders.
July 1994 Woods entered
the construction market with
Gannon, a manufacturer of
scrapers, pin-on backhoe
buckets, excavator buckets, and
multi-purpose loader buckets.
In November of 1994 Woods
acquired Alloway Manufacturing
Inc.®, a manufacturer of
tractor-mounted flail shredders,
cultivators, sugar beet defoliators,
and snow blowers.
July 1995 Woods brought
in Gill, a manufacturer of
landscape blades, scrapers,
pulverizers, turf renovators,
backhoes, and skid steer
buckets for landscaping
applications.
June 1996 Woods expanded
to include Beetec, a
manufacturer of sugar beet
harvesters and folding sugar
beet defoliators. In 2002
Woods divested its line of
equipment for the sugar beet
industry.
April 1997 BMP, manufacturer
of heavy-duty excavator buckets,
hydraulic thumbs, grapples, and
compactors was added to the Woods
product line-up. In October of 1997,
Woods also acquired Wain-Roy, a
manufacturer of a unique coupler
system, grapples, and jaw and ripper
buckets designed for use in heavy
construction equipment.
July 1999 Woods incorporated
three new acquisitions: TISCO, a
leading independent distributor of
replacement parts for tractors and
implements; Central Fabricators, a
manufacturer of pin-on excavator
buckets for the construction
industry; and Alitec, a manufacturer
of patented, hydraulic-powered
attachments for skid steers.
September 2011 Blount International

excellent brands and strong market
