the Eastern Conference, with a record of 12-8-2 (26 pts). The Rangers enter the contest having defeated the New York Islanders, 2-1,
in overtime last night at Nassau Coliseum, to extend their winning streak to four games. The Blueshirts have posted a record of 0-2-0 in
the second game of back-to-back sets this season. The Senators enter the contest with a 12-8-4 (28 pts) record to rank sixth in the
Eastern Conference, and have lost their last four games. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Washington

SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST
Rick Nash is currently tied for the team lead with eight goals on the season, with all eight of his goals being tallied in the third period.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he is the first player in franchise history whose first eight goals to begin the season all came in

GOAL SCORING LEADERS SINCE 2009-10
Marian Gaborik has been among the league's goal scoring leaders since joining the Rangers in 2009-10. Last season, Gaborik became
the fifth player in Rangers history to record 100 goals in his first three seasons with the club, and became the third Ranger in franchise
history to register multiple 40-goal seasons with the team. Entering this season, his 105 goals from 2009-10 to 2011-12 ranked seventh
in the NHL, while his .48 goals per game average ranked third (behind Steven Stamkos and Alex Ovechkin) over that time period.
Including games played this season, Gaborik currently ranks seventh in the league with 113 goals scored and is tied for third with .46
goals per game since the beginning of the 2009-10 season.
A BROADWAY HIT
The Rangers rank fourth in the NHL in hits (660) this season. Rangers' captain Ryan Callahan and forward Brian Boyle are tied for the

LAST GAME: March 6, 5-4 loss at Toronto: Ottawa scored three third period goals but couldn't overcome an early deficit in falling 5-4
to the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre. The contest featured nine different goal scorers. Toronto built a 3-0 advantage by the early
part of the middle stanza courtesy goals by Bozak, McClement and Van Riemsdyk. Zibanejad and Smith helped Ottawa to within one
but the home side restored its lead when Kessel then Kadri made it 5-2 with less than 10 minutes to play. Alfredsson and Greening
tallied in closing the night's scoring. Condra registered two assists in a game that saw Stone make his regular season debut. Riemer

INTO THE HISTORY BOOKS: Wiercioch became the 191st player to score a goal for the Senators when he tallied the first marker of
his NHL career in Sunday's 3-2 shootout setback to the Islanders. In doing so, he joined a group of 113 players who have registered at
least one power-play goal for the franchise. Stone officially became the 263rd player to play a game for Ottawa (and the 103rd to play
his first NHL game with the Senators) when he made his regular season NHL debut in Wednesday's 5-4 loss at Toronto.
300 FOR METH: Methot's next game will be the 300th of his NHL career. Having played in each of the Senators' first 24 games this
season, it is likely that he will attain the milestone when Ottawa visits the Rangers on Friday at New York's Madison Square Garden.
