KELLY SELKIRK
Health, Fitness and Wellness Director
Since 1995, JCC members have enjoyed
working with Audrey Edwards as a personal
trainer and group fitness class instructor.
An avid runner, spinner
and fitness enthusiast,
Audrey currently serves
as the JCC’s Wellness and
Fitness Director. Audrey
is a certified spinning
instructor, TRX trainer,
functional training instructor and Well
Coach. She is a trained STOTT pilates
instructor and holds certifications in aerobics
and personal training from AFFA (Aerobics
and Fitness Foundation of America) and FRA
(Fitness Resource Associates). Whether your
goal is better health and fitness, a firmer
body, weight loss or increased endurance,
Audrey will help you gain strength and shape
your body. She is CPR and AED (automated
external defibrillator) certified. She holds
a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State
University and lives in Newton.
Fitness Center Manager
Kelly has a wide-range of fitness and wellness
experience. She graduated from UMass
Amherst with a degree in Kinesiology and
a Masters of Business
Administration. She
is certified as a Health
Fitness Specialist through
the American College
of Sports Medicine
(ACSM), and holds a
specialty personal training certification that
focuses on training individuals with medical
conditions and injuries. She trains healthy
clients, as well. She provides effective,
results-driven workouts which focus on
improving her clients’ quality of life. Kelly
is an avid runner, spinner and golfer.
JOE AGOSTO

Sports and Recreation Coordinator
A certified personal trainer, cycle instructor,
and TRX instructor, Joe has been in the
health and fitness industry for 20 years.
His passion is to promote
healthy lifestyle habits
for long term wellness.
He has worked with
children, teens, and
adults at all levels of
fitness in various modes
of exercise. He’s highly energetic, and his
positive attitude helps motivate his clients.
Bryan has been personal training and
coaching since 1990. He has a Bachelors
degree in Exercise Physiology and a Masters
degree in Gerontology
from University of New
Orleans. He specializes
in posture, movement
patterns and injury
rehabilitation/prevention.
He bases his training
philosophy around teaching clients to move
more efficiently so they can continue to
feel youthful and healthy into the later years
of life.

MICHAEL BALASALLE
R U D Y C R I C H L O W, J R .
Michael began working as a personal trainer
in 2002. He is a certified personal trainer
through the International Sports Sciences
Association. His approach
is to motivate and
energize clients to
improve their quality
of life through improved
fitness and to feel better
about themselves. For
maximum results, Michael develops a plan
for each client that integrates the individual’s
goals, personality, interests, and fitness level.
Michael has experience working with
children, adolescents and adults with special
needs. He grew up in Jamaica Plain where
he currently lives.
Basketball Trainer
Rudy has been coaching basketball for over
10 years. Over the past four years he has
coached Joel Noe Brookline Recreational
teams to a 26-10 record.
In the Spring of 2012
Rudy led the 11U AAU
MetroWest Titans to a
27-7 record. This consisted
of seven tournament
championships, three
runner ups, and a national semi-final.
Rudy is the president/founder of the Mass.
Commanders AAU organization. Currently
Rudy is training professional players in the
European/Canadian leagues, college players,
a nationally ranked female 12U All-Star,
a national AAU regional travel team player,
and youth ranging from 4th to 12th
grade. Rudy played basketball for Chowan
University in North Carolina from
1995-1999. He currently lives in Brookline.

KIM BARTLETT
Member Engagement Coordinator
Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and
enthusiasm for health and wellbeing to the
JCC. She is a certified personal trainer and
group exercise instructor
with experience working
with various populations.
Kim holds a degree
in Kinesiology with a
concentration in Wellness
from California State
University Monterey Bay. She is a certified
NASM personal trainer and holds a Medical
Exercise Specialist certification to work
with post-rehabilitation clients. Kim enjoys
running, TRX, and yoga.

J E N N I F E R D AV I S
Jennifer is an American Council on Exercise
(ACE) certified personal trainer and is also
certified in CPR and TRX training. She is
an avid runner who has
completed nine Boston
Marathons. Jennifer
believes in working with
weights, cross training
and eating healthy. All
of these factors translate
into her personal training style, encouraging
people to have a positive, can-do attitude and
reaching goals through a step-by-step process.
She encourages her clients to have a great
time and love what they are doing when
training with her in the gym or taking one
of her bootcamp classes. Jennifer grew up in
Newton and now resides in Needham with
her two daughters.

DANIEL EDELSTON
BARRY GOLDSTEIN
Dan is a certified personal trainer who holds
credentials from the American Council of
Exercise (ACE) as well as CPR and AED
certifications from
the American Heart
Association. Dan’s
holistic approach to
fitness helps clients
strengthen their
mind-body connection
through a variety of bodyweight exercises.
He is a Level II Reiki (stress reduction/
relaxation) practitioner. Dan also counsels
paralyzed and quadriplegic veterans for the
Department of Veterans Affairs. He earned
his Masters Degree in Counseling from
the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
JCC Men’s Health Center Director
Barry is a Certified Personal Trainer who
enjoys working with physically challenged
children and adults. He is an avid basketball
player and combines
motivation and support
to develop practical
training programs
for his clients. Barry
specializes in working
with children or adults
with self-confidence issues. He is certified
in personal training from Fitness Resource
Associates and from the National Exercise
and Sports Trainers Association. He has
completed the cardiac rehab program at
Newton Wellesley Hospital and provides
cardiac maintenance follow-up training.
Barry has served as the director of the JCC’s
Men’s Health Center since 1992 and has
worked as a personal trainer here since 1998.

AUDREY EPSTEIN
Audrey brings a wealth of experience to the
JCC, having served as director of personal
training and weight management at a local
fitness center for eight
years. She uses her skills
as a teacher, motivator,
cheerleader, confidant
and coach to cater to her
client’s goals, whether
they’re in their teens
or their 80s. Audrey is certified in personal
training (ACE, ACSM), golf conditioning
and nutrition consultation. She is a certified
inclusion fitness trainer, allowing her to work
with clients with special needs and disabilities.
She lives in Chestnut Hill, grew up in
Portland, Maine, and graduated from Ithaca
College. She enjoys competing in triathlons,
practicing yoga and cooking.
CORIELLEN GRANDE
Cori has been in the fitness industry for 15
years as a personal trainer, group exercise
instructor and facility fitness director. She
holds fitness certifications
from AFAA, AAAI/ISMA,
Perform Better, and the
Institute of Human
Performance. Cori works
with individuals of all
ages and abilities but
specializes in training the active older adult
population. Her focus for all of her clients is
to help build functional ability and strength
through a personalized, safe fitness plan.

JUSTIN PRYCE
Joan is a certified personal trainer who has
worked at the JCC since 2003. Joan enjoys
working with people of all ages and abilities
to create individualized
workouts to help
teenagers, adults and
seniors achieve their
fitness goals. She is
a firm believer in a
cross-training approach
to keep workouts exciting and challenging.
She holds certifications in aerobics and
personal training from AFAA and FRA. She
is CPR and AED certified and is a certified
spinning instructor, group fitness instructor
and TRX trainer. Joan’s hobbies include
running (she has completed 15 marathons
and 15 half-marathons), swimming and
skiing. She lives in Newton.
As a personal trainer since 2007, Justin
helps his clients make fitness a part of their
everyday routine. He holds a personal trainer
certification from the
National Academy of
Sports Medicine. He has
a degree in Health and
Human Performance
from Roanoke College
in Virginia, where he
ran track. He is a native of Connecticut and
lives in Brighton.

ROB HOWITT
Rob is certified as a personal trainer and
Corrective Exercise Specialist through the
National Academy of Sports Medicine.
He has obtained CPR,
First Aid and AED
certification through
the American Heart
Association. He has been
a personal trainer since
2009 working with a
wide range of clients, including those who are
transitioning out of physical therapy. Rob is
also certified in TRX Suspension Training and
is a firm believer that bodyweight training can
build strength, balance, flexibility and core
stability. He graduated from the University of
Massachusetts (Amherst) and currently resides
in Framingham with his wife and son.

DEBRA SELIK
Debra is a personal trainer, wellness enthusiast
and avid runner who is certified through
the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
She is a graduate of
the National Personal
Training Institute and is
TRX certified. She focuses
on real-life fitness goals,
bringing a functional
approach to exercise and
healthy living. She believes that achieving an
improved level of fitness and quality of life is
within everyone’s reach and is committed to
helping each client realize their full potential.
M A R G A R I TA Z E Z Z A
Margarita holds a degree in physical
education from Riga College in Latvia
and a personal training certificate from the
University of Illinois
(Chicago). She works
with all age groups and
is especially experienced
in core strengthening,
stability, flexibility,
balance, and functional
training. She was the rowing world champion
in women’s double for the USSR in 1981
and holds the Masters 40+ age group record
in the single at the Head of the Charles.
