Volleyball Reg - Fall 2013 - Legal Size
We Are Ready
October 2-6, 2013
The plans have come together and we are ready for another great Emerald Coast Fall Classic.
Check out all the information below to see what is new and what is not!
Changes
As with every tournament we always have a few changes to make the event better and here
they are:
• The biggest change this fall is the implementation of ONLINE REGISTRATION!
Folks have been asking for it forever and now it is here! (We can’t help it if we are old
and slow.) To register for the Fall Fudpucker 4-Player just visit
emeraldcoastvolleyball.com and click on the Registration link and register away. We
have a great group of guys developing our online registration system so it should be a
breeze. You can register from your computer or mobile device. You’ll still get your
email confirmation and there shouldn’t be any hassles. Only the sandbaggers will have
a hard time.
• Our second big change is that the Thursday night “Warm-Up Party” is moving to Fudpuckeroni’s located inside
Fudpucker’s on the Island. FREE PIZZA from 7:00 – 8:00, with DOLLAR DRAFT BEER and LIVE MUSIC all
night long guarantees a great party for all!
• Our last big change will be the addition of a new Women’s Senior division. Like online registration we have had this
change requested for a few tournaments now, so it’s up to you girls, uh ladies, so get those registrations in here - we
need five teams to form a division... okay, this time we will make it four, but the playoffs won’t last long!
• Oh, one more thing - we will also be having two (2) Coed divisions, A/BB and B, as we started doing this spring. Coed
is quickly becoming very popular here at Fuds, so we’re expanding it accordingly! We are adding a Coed division to
the Wednesday Bring Your Own doubles tournament as well.
Party Lineup
The Wednesday night EARLY BIRD PARTY will again be at the Howl at the Moon catered
by The Black Pearl. Great Food and Super Entertainment is the perfect combo for our first
party of the week. You don’t want to miss it.
The Thursday night WARM-UP PARTY is moving to Fudpuckeronis (inside Fudpucker’s
on the Island). Great pizza, Cold beer and dozens of televisions combine to give you the
ultimate SPORTS BAR AT THE BEACH! With FREE PIZZA from 7:00 to 8:00 to get
things started off, coupled with DOLLAR DRAFT BEERS and LIVE MUSIC all night long,
the party tempo for the week jumps up a notch, so you don’t want to miss this party either!
The 4-PLAYER RECEPTION on Friday night at Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar &
Grill in Destin is where the volleyball weekend really begins. Enjoy some great
seafood at Fudpucker’s for dinner, then go on downstairs to the Down Under Bar for
“early Fud 4-Player team check-in” (you really don’t want to check-in Saturday
morning). With that formality out of the way, cozy up to a bar (any bar), have a cold
drink, get ready for the hottest band on the beach, and let the party begin with old friends
and new!
Of course, after a full day of volleyball on the beach, the Saturday night PLAYERS’
PARTY & BARBECUE is returning to The Swamp at The Boardwalk! With FREE food,
FREE beer, and LIVE MUSIC, this is the GRANDDADDY of all volleyball parties!
And, saving the best for last, Sunday night will be the COOL DOWN PARTY at
FudShucker’s Steam Shack and Raw Bar, located on the Bay directly behind
Fudpucker’s on the Island. FREE Shrimp Boil and gumbo from 7:00 to 8:00 and
DOLLAR DRAFT BEER all night long is a great excuse for staying on the beach one
more night… And, ask anyone who was at the Sunday night party last spring in
FudShuckers - same thing this fall, only better!
Costume Contest
The costume contest will be back with us again this fall with free entry into the spring 2014 Fud’s tournament as First Place
prize for all team members. We are rooting for the Wannabes, but we know the competition will be strong!
www.EmeraldCoastVolleyball.com
All current information about the event is available on our website, including a list of all teams entered into the Fudpucker
4 Player. We will also post the pool assignments the week of the tournament, the playoff brackets Saturday night, and the
tournament winners throughout the week.
Facebook
Our group page is Emerald Coast Volleyball. We will be posting all of our updates and comments on our Facebook page as
well as on our website, so join us on Facebook and keep up to date on all our happenings!
Guaranteed T-Shirts
As we did this past spring, we are going to take orders for t-shirts prior to the
tournament: long sleeved, short sleeved, sweatshirts, and tank tops. All you have
to do is email Deede at [email protected] with your request (no
payment required). When you come to the beach on Saturday, come see Deede,
pay for your stuff and take it with you. NOTE: If you don’t pick up your stuff
Saturday, it will go on sale Sunday, so don’t procrastinate.
One On One Physical Therapy
The BEST physical therapists in the world from One on One Physical Therapy and Back 2
Motion Physical Therapy will be at the tournament. You are encouraged to see them at the
Medical Area on the Boardwalk for injuries sustained during the tournament. Notice it says, “injuries sustained during the
tournament”. These folks are not here to treat your long term injuries, just to get you back on the court from injuries you
received while playing in this tournament!
One on One Physical Therapy shares a location with Back 2 Motion Physical Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia and has recently
opened another location at The Palisades Corporate Center off Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Visit onetherapy.com for more
information.
Spalding
Spalding Volleyball will be back again with us this fall as the official tournament ball.
Accordingly, we will have plenty of SPALDING volleyballs for sale.

Tournament Notes
During the Fudpucker 4-Player, all teams, except those in Men’s B & BB, will advance to the playoffs. Teams in those two
divisions finishing last in pool play will not advance.
The Emerald Coast Fall Classic events are adult oriented: All of our parties serve alcoholic beverages and have entertainment
geared to adults. Although we have never set an age limit, all participants are expected to act in the spirit of all our events with
good times and respect for others being our primary goals.
Since adding COED divisions to most of our tournaments, women will not be allowed to play in men’s divisions and men will
not be allowed to play in women’s divisions (that’s what “COED” is for).
Registration for weekday tournaments will only be on the beach the days of the events.
If you need additional information about the tournaments or registration, you may contact
Mike via email at [email protected] or call at 850-243-2555.
