Schanks South Super Bowl Party
Calgary’s most popular sports bar is the best place to be on
February 5, 2012. Super Bowl xlvi features the rematch from
2008 when Tom Brady’s New England Patriots will take on
Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Come join Schanks
and the fan 960 for the best super bowl party in town.
Drink and food specials will be on throughout the night.

History - Schanks has been the ultimate in sports and entertainment in Alberta
since 1994 and now has locations in South Calgary (MacLeod Trail), North Calgary
(Crowfoot Centre), and Edmonton (178th Street). Schanks Sports Grill is Now Open
in New Westminster, BC. Located off Boyd Street, just west of Queensborough
Landing, next to the Starlight Casino.
All locations offer a wide variety of activities, including mini golf, virtual golf,
billiards, video games, NTN trivia, and off track betting.
Why Pick Schanks?- Schanks has the biggest screen in town to watch the Super
Bowl. The massive HD screen located at the very back of the bar is 30x30ft. There
are also 8 HD big screens (10x10ft) and over 60 other televisions where the game
can be watched. The game can be seen from any seat in the bar, but come early to
ensure a seat close to one of the big screens. The kick-off for the Super Bowl starts
at 4pm. Drink specials for the Super Bowl: domestic beer bottles $3.81 and
domestic draft jugs at $14.05. There will be a special appetizer for the big game.
Deep fried macaroni and cheese and Jalapeño poppers will be included in the
Schanks football platter for the big game.
Future- All Flames games are shown at Schanks. Any sporting event can usually be
seen at Schanks as well, so give Schanks a call or stop by and come watch your
favorite teams in action on of the massive screens, and enjoy great food and great
service. Fun can be had with friends as well if there is no interest in a sporting
event. Arcades, billiards, mini-golf, virtual golf, horse track betting and VLT’s are
always open.

SCHANKS HAS A NEW GREAT TASTING FOOD MENU
Calgary, AB – Schanks has a new food menu which includes many new food options along with some old
favorites.
On January 1, 2012, Schanks Sports Grill introduced a new food menu for all of its locations.
“It was introduced, because we felt that there should be more options available to customers,” said
Brad Schuler, manager at the Schanks South location.
“The most popular items on the menu are the 10 oz. ribeye steak and the penne pasta chorizo dishes.”
Some of the other popular new items on the menu include the thai chicken wrap, spicy quesadillas,
ginger beef appetizer, lima beans, Schanks double cheeseburger and Schuler’s personal favorite haddock
and fries.
Another change to the menu is that all the pizzas are now made with thin crust.
Dessert was also added to the menu with two options: the mud volcano, which is basically a giant
brownie with fudge sauce, and apple pie with ice cream.
Old favorites such as Schanks boneless wings, steak sandwich, chef salad and dry ribs have all been left
on the menu.
