Adirondack Series: Small Homes and Camps
Lok-N-Logs, Inc. has been designing efficient, small homes–as well as large homes and
lodges–for over thirty years. This line of homes is designed to utilize space efficiently
and economically. The Adirondack Series utilizes our Rustic Logs, 6" high by 6" to
8" wide Rustic Peeled profile with traditional flat trusses for Ranches and 2" x 12"
rafters for Loft models. We are offering these homes in a limited number of styles and
as ‘no change’ packages, saving design work and limiting more costly options.
The Adirondack Series Log and Log Siding are kiln dried to decrease most of the
settling normally associated with green or air dried logs. All Lok-N-Logs log products are pressure treated with sodium borate. This innovative process allows for full
saturation of colorless and non-toxic sodium borate, allowing Lok-N-Logs Adirondack
Series log homes and classic log homes to carry the only Transferable Lifetime
Warranty in the log industry.
Lakeside shelters, weekend camps, starter and retirement homes–the Adirondack
Series from Lok-N-Logs log homes has something for everyone. Easy-to-plan additions,
these cabins and homes can grow with your family. Designed to be built easily and
economically, these are the perfect cabins for family fun!
Note: The Adirondack Series
is offered as a ‘No Change’ to
plan series allowing Lok-N-Logs
to keep costs down. Any home
in this line can be converted
to our Standard Package,
featuring our Classic Logs,
Custom Planning and
Complete Materials packages.

Why Lok-N-Logs Adirondack Series Small Homes?
• Cost-effective Design Using Top Quality
Materials.
Our Adirondack Series homes are designed for
compact and efficient living, but still use log products that carry the ‘Lok-N-Logs Advantage.’ Our Log
products are borate pressure treated, kiln dried, precut
and carry the Lok-N-Logs, Inc. Lifetime Transferable
Warranty. Window units are energy efficient and high
quality Marvin Windows Integrity Series® and doors
are by Therma-Tru®. Lok-N-Logs Adirondack Series
provides an economical small home option without
sacrificing quality.
additional benefit of kiln dried wall logs is that the
overall weight of the log is greatly reduced. This is a
big asset to those setting the logs on the job site!
• Signature Peeled Log Products
All Adirondack Series Small Homes and Camps are
designed using our Rustic Peeled/Flat Logs, giving your
package the ‘rustic redefined’ Lok-N-Logs look.
• Lok-N-Logs Logs and Log Siding Are Kiln Dried.
Kiln drying has many benefits for log construction.
By kiln drying our wall log components to an average
19%, Lok-N-Logs has been able to nearly eliminate
sap seepage. During the drying process, the sap is
crystallized which helps eliminate much of the
seeping that would normally occur in logs. After the
wall logs have been kiln dried, please keep in mind that
current local weather and humidity will affect the actual amount of moisture in your logs. This does
not adversely affect your wall log components. An
Sodium Borate Pressure Treated
•
• Logs and Log Siding Are Pressure Treated
with Sodium Borate
All Lok-N-Logs, Inc. log components are pressuretreated with sodium borate–an EPA-approved,
environmentally friendly, odorless and colorless
industrial wood preservative. This treatment process
provides protection for your log material against
decay and wood ingesting insects (except Formosan
subterranean termites). Our log material is pressure-treated in Lok-N-Logs’ own treating facilities
so that we can monitor and control the preservative
process.
Boron is an integral part of the natural world. As one
of the 109 elements that make up the planet, boron is
everywhere–in soil, water, plants and animals. Boron
combines with oxygen and other elements to form
boric acid, or inorganic salts, called borates.
Borates are important ingredients in a variety of
household and commercial products used in
agriculture, ceramics, personal care products,
fiberglass, glass and wood treatments. Commonly
used as a spray-on, after-market treatment in the log
industry, Lok-N-Logs, Inc. has made sure that your
entire home is protected before it leaves the factory.

Borate pressure treated wood is a safe and longlasting method to protect your home from wooddestroying organisms. Borate treated wood has been
used successfully for more then fifty years to prevent
fungi decay and is deadly to termites, powder post
beetles and old house bores–but safe for people, pets
and the environment.
ends–including roof angles and gable end openings.
Regardless of your choice of log style or roof configuration, your Lok-N-Logs home will arrive at your building site with precut house and porch rafters. We also
precut the mortise and tenon floor joists and the main
carrier beam connections for your second floor support
system. Accurate precutting means less construction
time on site that translates into substantial construction
costs savings. Responsibility for all log cuts lies with us,
the manufacturer, not with the local contractor faced
with the challenges presented by a “random length”
log package.
• Lifetime Transferable Warranty
With sodium borate pressure treating and proper
exterior maintenance, your log home will carry
Lok-N-Logs’ Transferable Lifetime Warranty. We
feel strongly enough about the benefits of this
product that we will cover not only the original
homeowner, but also the next and the next.
Our customers have come to appreciate the benefits of our fully precut log home packages. Marilyn
Musumeci and Jan Grantz of White Plains, New York,
built their log walls in two weeks, “… doing most of
the work ourselves with help from new friends. We
love our house,” they wrote, “and we feel a great sense
of accomplishment knowing that we built it ourselves.
Thank you for making that possible.” Lok-N-Logs also
offers a ‘technical assistance’ session as part of every log
home package which we sell. A member of our trained
start-up staff will visit your building site and show you
or your builder how to properly stack our log wall
system. We want your home to be the best it can be!
• Precut Log Packages
Some log home manufacturers do not precut your log
components at all, choosing instead to provide a
“random length” package which is labor intensive–
driving up construction time and costs. Other companies precut only portions of your log package leaving
open the possibility for costly cutting errors at the
job site and the potential for equally costly construction delays. At Lok-N-Logs we totally precut all of
your log components. In addition to our 8' high log
walls, which feature precut corner joints and window
and door openings, we also precut our full log gable

Green Building Trend
Lok-N-Logs homeowners
were on the green building trend long before it
was even a trend! Energy
efficient logs are a natural
way to include thermal
mass in your building
system. Lok-N-Logs log
homes are harvested
primarily in the continu
ally-replenished forests of
upstate New York.
Camps and Cabins of
the Adirondack Park
The smaller camps and
shelters in this series are
designed to reflect some
of the small cabins of the
Adirondack Mountains.
Using Lok-N-Logs’ signature rustic peeled/flat logs,
these models retain
the charm of the original
mountain log cabins.
