Geocaching Hunt at the Zoo! Experience the adventure of Geocaching (that’s pronounced geocash-ing for those of you new to the game) at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Geocaching is an exciting treasure hunt game played around the world by adventure seekers equipped
with GPS devices. As treasure seekers you will search out the locations of hidden containers called
geocaches and then share (or brag) about your experiences online. Geocaching is a treasure hunt
enjoyed by people of all ages who like to
explore outdoors. Learn more about geocaching at www.geocaching.com and then
come to the Zoo on October 1, 2011 to
search for fun and exciting geocaches hidden all over the Zoo just for you!
The day of the event geocaches will be hidden all over the Zoo and filled with lots of
different prizes including store and restaurant gift certificates, travel bugs, geocoins,
and fun novelty items for the kids. If you
have a GPS enabled cell phone like an
iPhone that allows you to input longitude
and latitude locations, or a GPS unit, that’s
all you need to participate. Beginners are welcome to join us for a quick class on how to use your
device to find geocaches before the treasure hunt begins! Please call 407.323.44450 ext 123, or
email [email protected], to join the fun!
