A message from the Quilt Show Chair
Welcome to the Chattahoochee Evening Stars 2014 Stars
‘N’ Stitches Quilt Show.
It takes a quilt guild to put on a quilt show and would not
have been possible without the support of members and
their families. The guild is a mix of new and longtime quilters
all with a unique talent and passion for the art. We are
proud to present our works of art to you.
It is with great privilege and honor to have served as the
2014 Stars ‘N’ Stitches Quilt Show Chair. My personal
‘thanks’ goes to the Quilt Show Committee Chairs who
dedicated many hours behind the scenes to make the show
possible. I am proud to have worked with such a talented
and dedicated group of individuals.
The guild membership appreciates the support of our
attendees, sponsors, vendors and donors.
On behalf of the guild membership, THANK YOU for
attending the Chattahoochee Evening Stars 2014 Stars ‘N’
Stitches Quilt Show. We hope you enjoy the show and feel
inspired by the display of the quilts.
Looking forward to seeing you again in 2016!

The collection of Storybook Quilts is a special exhibit of the
newest and most frequently requested quilts. The initial
collection of quilts was introduced at the Stars ‘N’ Stitches
2010 Quilt Show. In 2012, the CES Guild members were
once again challenged to make more quilts. The mission of
Storybook Quilts-Janie’s Dream is to promote the love of
quilting through reading stories about quilting and to
document the role quilting plays in literature. Storybook
Quilts, a dream of Janie Stokes, is a unique approach to
multigenerational and tactile learning. In 2010, the project
received a grant from the National Quilting Association, Inc.
This display of quilts is intended for use in children’s
educational programs and is available for individual or group
use. We hope you enjoy this presentation. To learn more
about the project, please visit www.storybookquilts.org.
