“HERE COMES THE FUN” Sung to The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun”
Here comes the fun, here comes the fun
And we say, come ’n play
Little darling, it’s not just play, you’re also learning
Little darling, as you explore, the wheels are turning
Here comes the fun, here comes the fun
And we say, come ’n play
Little darling, I love to see you paint and tinker
Little darling, create and you become a thinker
Here comes the fun, here comes the fun
And we say, come ’n play
Fun, fun, fun, come ’n play (Repeat 4x)
Little darling, you are our future and our treasure
Little darling, our care for you is beyond measure
Little darling, for you we build a whole museum
Little darling, we hope you’ll shout out “carpe diem!”
Little darling, from CCM you’ve benefited
Little darling, to your success we are committed
Little darling, we want to raise you to be healthy
Little darling, with knowledge you will be so wealthy
Here comes the fun, here comes the fun
And we say, come ’n play
Here comes the fun, here comes the fun
And we say, come ’n play

“JUMP” Sung to Van Halen’s “Jump”
We get up, and we move around
We’re having fun,
so much fun to be found
And we know!
Baby, just how you climb
The children learn
from each other
and things that are real
Come and see us learning here
You know our brains are all strong
and all lean
This is the best place that I’ve seen
And I’m not even thirteen!
Might as well jump – Jump!
Run, skip and jump
Go ahead and jump – Jump!
Splash, learn and jump
Might as well jump – Jump!
Run, skip and jump
Go ahead, jump – Jump!
Splash, learn and jump
Hey you! Who said that?
Kids, how you been?
We’re having fun, and we’re learning,
and art’s about to begin
Well can’t you see me playing here,
I’ve got my brain all full and pristine
It’s the coolest place that I’ve seen
It’s so nice and so clean!
[Guitar solo]
[Keyboard solo]
Might as well jump – Jump!
Run, skip and jump
Go ahead, play – Play!
Splash, learn and play

CAN I BUY TICKETS ONLINE?
Of course! What do you think this is, 1983? Visit CCMgala.org.
How do I get more information?
Contact Chicago Children’s Museum’s Events Coordinator, Chelsea
Landry, at (312) 464-7714 or [email protected].
What should I wear?
The attire is rock’n’roll black tie. Finally an excuse to pull that
Madonna outfit from the closet! Billy Idol hair? Cool. KISS makeup?
A must. Beatle wig? Fab. Guns N’ Roses jean jacket? Yep. Lady Gaga
meat dress? Ummmm… Or, better yet, create your very own rock
persona.
What if I don’t want to infuse rock’n’roll
into my wardrobe?
That’s okay – we know it’s not for everyone. Standard black tie attire is
perfectly acceptable. Plus we’ll have some festive accessories available
at the Gala in case you’re moved to let your hair down (or spike it up)
and set your inner rock star free.
Is there parking at the Navy Pier Grand
Ballroom?
Complimentary valet parking will be available at Navy Pier Parking
Entrance 2. You will receive valet* passes in the mail shortly before
the event.
Should I bring my own guitar?
Ear plugs? Will Sting be there?
CCM will provide all the gear and paraphernalia you’ll need to rock the
fancy. As for Sting, we can neither confirm nor deny his participation.
You’ll have to come and see!
*Special parking is reserved for tour buses and road crew. Sorry, no groupies allowed.
