The Honey Jam Media and Talent Launch is an evening reception introducing selected Honey Jam artists to music and media and industry. This provides an opportunity for sponsors, industry, and artists to mingle and network, and to enable the
Honey Jam artists to meet one another and begin to form connections and build relationships.
The launch includes a welcome message from Honey Jam Producer, Ebonnie Rowe, who will speak about the plans for the
2015 showcase, artist workshop, as well as some exciting opportunities some of the artists will receive $5,000 in
Yamaha sound equipment, as well as an opportunity to perform at the Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist Stage

Artist Development Workshop (July 25)
The Honey Jam Artist Development Workshop is open to the artists who were selected to showcase at the 17th annual

navigating their own paths to success, the hands-on training offered via the workshop is a valuable experience for the
artists involved. It helps them to develop the business aspect of their entrepreneurial endeavors and network with
successful and well-connected professionals in the industry.
Concert (August 13)
The Honey Jam Concert is a public showcase held in August at The Mod Club Theatre in downtown Toronto where finalists
from coast to coast perform live. In previous years Much Music VJ’s such as Sarah Taylor and Lauren Toyota, have hosted
Honey Jam to an audience of music industry influencers, media, artists, tastemakers and fans. Not only do music lovers get
to hear what is new and up and coming in the Canadian music industry but A&R’s from all labels attend this showcase/concert looking for the next big Canadian female musical star.

“Honey Jam is an amazing stepping stone in terms of the goals that I’ve set for
myself as an artist. I’m very humbled and blessed to be a part of this experience,
this family. The people here are very loving, very giving and supportive. I think
for any female artist in Canada, Honey Jam is one of those things that, if you can
get there, you know you’re moving forward. It opens a whole new network of
opportunities. Honey Jam is where creativity and artistry meets advocacy and
support for women. It has given me a lot of perspective in terms of what I need
to do, and having those concrete goals really helps when you want to go somewhere. From vocal coaching to funding to tax tips to media interviews, we are
given valuable knowledge. Also, knowing that we all have similar struggles like
accepting yourself and building confidence is very helpful so I don’t feel alone,
and it’s just amazing to have that kind of support.”
