Answering the call! Soliciting feedback from firefighters across the
nation, we worked night and day to design the most advanced
self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) available. The MSA G1
SCBA offers integrated and enhanced solutions designed to exceed
your needs today as well as years into the future.
Unveiled earlier this year at the annual Fire Department Instructor's
Conference (FDIC), the MSA G1 SCBA is the most technologically
advanced, streamlined, balanced, and customizable SCBA that MSA

The MSA M7XT Air Mask
MSA’s FireHawk M7XT Air Mask represents a true technological
achievement in critical firefighter protection. As firefighters defined
the safety requirements necessary to meet NFPA 1981 and 1982
2013-edition standards, MSA engineering teams designed
solutions. The FireHawk M7XT Air Mask, with life-safety design
components built upon a modular air mask platform, exceeds NFPA
2013 requirements and provides firefighters with the highest
quality SCBA available.

Enhanced Comfort Features for

Once again we have listened to your requests and improved the
helmet that has been trusted by generations of firefighters since
1836! Enhanced features include:
Factory-Set Lowered Ride Height
• Based upon firefighter feedback, we’ve shipped your Cairns® Fire
Helmets with the suspension automatically set at the lowest ride
height.
Extended Ear Lap Connection Points
• Hook and loop ear lap connection points have been
increased, improving hold to the impact cap assembly
and removing pressure points from bunched material.
Easy-to-Reach Ratchet Assembly
• The adjustment ratchet is now easily accessible through an
expanded opening at the back of the ear lap. This change also
helps prevent the ear lap from bunching near the ratchet
assembly when donning the helmet.

Reduced Pressure Points
• The material thickness at the temples has been reduced,
minimizing pressure points and material in contact with skin.
Similarly, changes in the way the liner is inserted decreases
bunching across the forehead, reducing the potential for
headaches.
