A huge shout out to Tom Heath and
the rest of the Junior Maroons team
who organised another awesome
Junior Maroons night for our
volunteers and Littles. Tom also
managed to raise $1039 for our
agency, and received an additional
$100 donation from Dean at RPM
Designs.
We enjoyed some pizza courtesy of
Pie-zano’s, and super cute cup
cakes before heading down for a
chance to meet and fist bump the
players before they went on to the
ice.
We were lucky enough to get a tour
of the Maroon’s locker room. The
Littles were also all given Maroons
branded pucks and mini sticks to
help them remember this wonderful
event.
Before the game, Big Sister
Heather and Little Sister Kayleigh
received the honour this year of

participating in their ceremonial
puck drop!
And lastly, the Maroons played a
fantastic game, winning 5-4 in
double overtime against the
Strathroy Rockets. We cannot
wait until next year!
Everybody’s
Birthday Party!
Thank you so much to all of our
Littles and Volunteers who came
out to help us celebrate
Everybody’s Birthday! We had a
huge turnout, it was great to see
so many familiar faces!
Props to the littles who wrote us
an awesome list of things they
like or would like to do with a Big.
We hope these help us recruit
new volunteers to help us match
more kids in this high demand
program.
We hope you all enjoyed the
delicious pizza provided by the
Satelitte restaurant, and the cute
cakes made for you by Amanda
and Holly. It wouldn’t be a party
without some cake!
We look forward to seeing you all
again next year!

WHAT IF…
Every child fulfills his or her potential?
WHAT IF...
Every child is set on the right path?
WHAT IF…
Every child in Canada finishes high school,
college or university, gets a job and gives
back to their community?
WOULDN’T THAT BE SOMETHING??
Know of anyone that would make a good mentor?
Why not mention all of our programs and volunteer opportunities? We are currently
recruiting Big Brothers, Big Sisters, In-School Mentors and Group Mentors. Bilingual
volunteers are being sought for our in-school programs. A small amount of time can make a
BIG difference. Start something today by spreading the word. Unlocking a child’s true
potential creates a future where anything’s possible.
