Area of Application
The Swipper is the result of many
years of experience and systematic
product development. All known
plastic, fibrous and collagen casings
of 35–140mm (Swipper 18/15) and
20–80mm (Swipper 15/12) are closed
cleanly and efficiently. Fast conversion to a different clip size (from 12 to
15mm or from 15 to 18mm) enables
individual use and increases flexibility of the size range.
The Swipper can be connected to all
conventional filling machines. It closes the portions precisely to produce
individual, string and ring-shaped
sausages without leaving sausage
meat residue in the ends of the sausage. The Swipper is also suitable for
many other applications besides sausage production. The Swipper is the
ideal closure system for packaging
semi-finished confectionery, cheese,
soups or non-food products.
Technology
The electronic clip closing force control NewCon® (Newton Control) prevents damage to the machine in the
event of incorrect operation. If the
set threshold value of the closing
force is reached, the safety system
is triggered and stops the machine.
The NewCon® is a safety system
which increases production reliability many times over. The clip closure
height can be set consistently. The
effective clip closing force is shown
on the display.
The entire machine is completely
stainless. All drive levers are made
of solid stainless cast steel. The displacement of the shears is controlled
by a closed cam.
The cam roller is controlled during
both opening and closing. The clip
closure lever is controlled via a beaded cam. These design solutions give
the Swipper a long service life with
minimum wear.
The clip height setting is reproducible and can be
adjusted on the machine from the outside.

the horizontal surfaces are designed
with an incline (3°) which allows fast,
hygienic cleaning. The drive, valves
and tool holder are sealed by covers
to protect against the harsh environment. The controls for this machine
are protected against moisture in a
closed, air-conditioned switch cabinet. The integrated safety monitoring system with an alphanumeric
display on the control panel indicates
upcoming routine maintenance and
allows the operator to troubleshoot
and evaluate the machine’s performance.

display in many languages provides

hygiene, and efficiency. The operator interface consists of the functions speed, chain pre-selection,
loop counter, number of portions per
length of casing, single pass operation, single-/double-clip control, ringshaped products, controlled casing
brake, label dispenser, time portioning, knife positioning and clip cycle
delays.
